2. Evaluation Question 5
how did you attract/ address your audience?
In the beginning of the scene of brink of distinction, the victim sahib walk I to the
school entrance/courtyard. What could attract the target audience attraction is
why is the victim walking in such a isolated area and where are school students
that goes to the school yard he walked into. But what would bring the most
attraction of my target audience would be me, the villain. Since the villain is
wearing dark clothing and wearing clothes such as a black wooly cap and a black
hoodie. The scene of the villain walking into the library and following sahib
directions to the library definitely brings attention to my audience and may bring
questions such as:
-why is the man in black following sahib
-what are his motives in this film –ect
If I wanted to make this media project to attract to my audience then I could post
the YouTube link of the trailer on social websites such as
facebook,twitter,instagram,myspace ect.
we addressed the audience through the villain and victim. when the villain
finished murdering his ex, he was angry and now ready for his next task. he
showed his rage by hardly pressing the pen on his hit list note pad.
3. Evaluation Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
Well the technology I have came across was from the apple computers which
are provided for my media group to use for our media product. As there were
a variety of apps I have never came across before which was a quite of a cool
experience for. Garage band was real something and it was helpful for my
media group to make thriller convention of music to build up that tension. I
learnt from garage band how to mix different elements of music from
different instruments. IMovie was one of the hardest app on the apple mac
computer that I have came across to handle. Because I have never transition a
movie before but I slowly progress of cut and editing clips of brink of
distinction and the cut and crop button on the iMovie helped us cut out
bloopers of fault and errors in filming. Then lastly was the camera which the
group used to film brink of distinction but to be honest I didn't’t really learn
much from the camera since I have basic knowledge from it already. This was
a really great opportunity of using these apps on the mac computer which will
help me in the future incase I have to film a movie or make music on the
following apps and made my life really easy too.
4. Evaluation Question 7
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in
the progression from it to the full product?
Now looking back at my preliminary task I felt that when we were at the stage of
creating our preliminary task we did acquire enough knowledge of the camera we
were using the equipment that came without, and so we're unable to produce
any good scenes as most of them where shaky or out of position, and so I felt that
with more experience in using the equipment such as the tripod and using the
camera more often allowed me to be able to create good structures scenes. Also
the contrast brightness and color in each scene are done effectively such as the
beginning when the scenery was being filmed and the victim was walking to the
library the screen was black and white to show the isolation of the pathway to the
library. I also learned that the dialogue was very important this is because we
used very little dialogue this meant that the audience must be able to tell what
the story is about. This made it even more difficult, but we managed to do it. I feel
that I have developed many media skills and I feel that I've learnt a lot in this
media project. I also done research on the different types of shot, theories on
media and some historical filming ideas such as Film Noir and Miss en scene
which have helped me learn more about media industry and how to develop my
media product.
