EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Operations Coordinator - City of Launceston Leisure and Aquatic Centre 2015 – Current
(acting in the role from 2014)
I commenced in my role as Operations Coordinator in October 2013 and have since had
the opportunity to be more involved in the development of budgets, annual plans,
directorate annual plans, performance management, staff development and council
policies and procedures.
My duties include:
Provide leadership to the lifeguard team
Oversee staffing, bookings, cleanliness, customer relations and safety of patrons
and staff
Develop, review and manage operations budget in conjunction with the council
plan
Develop annual plans - Individual, Operations, Centre wide and Directorate
Review and improve policies, risk assessments and SOP's
Effective management of capital works projects
Managing a casual pool of up to 40 lifeguard employees
Managing a team of 3 full time staff and 1 part time staff member
Conducting performance reviews where necessary
Conducting PES assessments for full time staff
Working closely with other coordinators and centre manager to improve the
overall use of the centre
Daily operations of plant room - Maintaining a high standard of water quality
whilst maintaining patron comfort
Provide staff training - for new employees and current - Ranging from induction,
buddy shifts and ongoing monthly compulsory trainings including spinal injury
management, CPR and Oxygen and First Aid
Recruitment and retention for busy periods

Manage the opening and running of the Lilydale pool - Staffing levels, training,
site inductions for staff, maintenance and cleanliness
Manage the lifeguard team at the Cataract Gorge Pool - Liaising with RLSST for
