Technical Service Engineer II
Provide technical resources and training of pump products. Process and evaluate customer issues
for warranty consideration. Assist customers with start-up and commissioning of pumps and
drive equipment. Assist customers with trouble shooting and problems with all equipment.
Recommend solutions to correct issues with equipment on site. Assist customers with assembly
and dis-assembly of equipment. Perform laser shaft alignment, vibration data collection and
system checks of equipment. Maintenance and long term storage practices for all equipment. Site
supervision and construction management of large projects. Travel to support the following
plants: FGD, coal processing, coal power, hard rock mining and filter press. Installation of large
pumps in cyclone feed applications for mining. Installation of pump trials against the
competition at key customer accounts to grow the business. Wet end and complete pump
installations in order to reduce maintenance and plant downtime. Provide sales support to the
regional manager. Locate new projects and provide field data to the inside sales team. Perform
equipment surveys of GIW or competitor equipment for account data. Train and develop global
KSB service teams located onsite at key customer accounts. Special field projects and
installation solutions.
Pump Sales and Application Engineer
Provide our customers with a competitive commercial proposal based on their application
requirements. Provide technical assistance with select pump products. Assist customer with
product information in order to upgrade their existing pumps using the latest pump technology.
Recommend spare parts needed to properly maintain their pumps while in service. Analyze
pumps and pipeline systems to provide technical support or providing recommendations to our
customers. Travel to customer sites to provide study their existing applications. Study pump
performance and wear life evaluations. Recommend pump upgrades and alternative material
selections to improve service life.
Market Manager-Hard Rock Mining
International travel to various key accounts in order to promote the very latest slurry pump
technology in the mining market. Product management and cost evaluations of slurry pumps.
Provide technical training and best practices of slurry pumps to customers. Offer technical
improvements to our design engineers based on actual field experience, customer feedback and
competitor product knowledge. Establish competitive selling prices based on market research.
Develop blanket pricing structures for key accounts. Inventory management studies and
recommendations for minimum stock levels. Develop business plans for penetrating key
accounts with GIW mining products.
