Assigned as corporate Risk Coordinator and was responsible for safety and environmental risk assessment
leadership, facilitation and stewardship.

• Responsible for the supervision of on-site technical staff which supported the Judy Creek
conventional oil and gas production operations in Northern Alberta. This included overall

capital and operating budgets.

• Assigned as the Project Engineer for the scoping and cost estimating for Beaufort oil production
development in the far north of Canada. This included coordination of preliminary design, cost
estimating and project execution planning to evaluate the feasibility of the development.
• Management of numerous surface facilities projects associated with the production of oil and gas in
Western Canada.
1977 to 1978 Hoyles Niblock Overseas Limited Teheran, Iran.
Project Engineer
• Civil Project Engineer on the telecommunications portion of a large gas supply project for the
National Iranian Gas Company. Experience with the design and construction of site works, roads,
concrete foundation and buildings.
1974 to 1977 Montreal Engineering Company Limited Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Civil Design & Construction Engineer
• Assisted in the design and construction of major thermal power generating plants and heavy oil
mining / upgrading facilities (Syncrude) in Western Canada. Experience in the design and
construction of concrete foundations and steel structures including a 155-meter reinforced concrete
smoke stack.
• On-site activities included the supervisory responsibility for the survey crews and for the concrete and
material laboratory that performed the quality testing.
