Joining two shots showing continuous action
through time - but it is not necessary to have
the continuous action be the same subject
5. They do not maintain continuous linear time but can
be used to quickly show passage of time.
Jump cuts can be used to create a feeling of unease,
and can be disorienting if not crafted properly.

It starts with longer shots, then reduces shot length,
great way to build tension.

to show intensity

9. A single shot on the character and another single shot
on another character. Then cut them together
