2. Synergy
The ‘Green Day’ logo font, is
followed by the rest of the writing
on the advert. By the use of synergy
it allows people to recognise the
band easily and is a great way of
the band to become increasingly
popular as more people will
recognise the style and logo.
NME
This advert was featured in
one of ‘NME’ s magazines. The
genre of music in the
magazine is predominantly
rock based and so therefore,
the target audience will be
excited to see this as Green
Day are one of the most
popular bands of that Genre.
Internet
Social media and the internet isn one of
the easiest ways and most popular ways
to buy concert tickets and albums. There
is a link at the bottom where people can
receive newest updates About the band
and where and how to purchase tickets.
As many Green Day fans will read NME
this is a great way to inform them about
such news.
3. Easy to recognise
One thing that makes this
advert great is that it has
named there famous singles
which are going to be on the
new album. By doing this it gets
current fans excited but also
gains new fans. This happens by
people liking there new songs
then begin to like their new
album.
Pull quote
The fact that there is a pull quote
already shows that the album is
going to be good. Also, the quote
is from NME, a well known music
magazine, so its bound to be
good if a magazine of that tier
says this album is good.
Graphology
This advert looks really
appealing to the eye. The four
photographs contain each
band member and are easily
recognisable. The colours are
very basic but yet seem so
appealing. It looks classic and
classy.
Font
The font looks very classic and old,
as do the pictures. This creates a
unique effect and creates a sense
of excitement for the album as the
fans may not know what to expect
from the rest of their songs.
4. Ratings
The fact that this album has
received 4 star reviews proves
that this album is going to be
good and it gives people
something to look forward to as
it is getting hyped up about by
other big reviewers.
In terms of the front cover, it looks
fairly basic and bland as it only contains,
A title, Reviews and a curtain. It does
hold a sense of mystery as of what really
is behind the curtain? Maybe that’s
something for the fans to look forward
to. The big font is very appealing and
takes up a lot of the page. The colour
scheme again is very boring and basic,
the only real colour is coming from the
curtain. I would imagine that this was
found in a newspaper, judging by who
has reviewed it. Such as ‘The Guardian,
The Times, Daily Telegraph and Sunday
Telegraph’. I feel like this advert had a lot
of potential but didn’t quite fulfil it.
