Job History:
Hardware Engineer/Equipment Installer: Apex Sept. 4th
2015 to Mar. 11th
2016
Contracted to Leidos to perform end of life upgrades on GFE and COTS Equipment for the
Government. Utilizing my multiple skill sets, the companies tasking of me is vast in the efforts to
upgrade and document the systems needs. Researching and working with fellow Engineers,
Designers, CM, and Government Officials poses to be a challenging effort when trying to keep the old
equipment operating. Pulling the old equipment out with cabling, then clean up the racks to install the
new portion. Writing EO's and recreating BOM's, Drawings, Parts Lists, and TO's for either the
scanned or three generations of upgrades to the documentation is the second challenge. Overall a
very interesting position, with plenty of obstacles to overcome. Never a dull moment and gratifying
work is its reward to the job well finished.
Design Engineer 2: Donateck Mar. 8th
2015 to July 22nd
2015

installation drawings. Updating rack and stack configurations, workstation desk equipment upgrades
and modifications, server room layouts, and complete major site layout and configurations.
Researched and compiled site changes from customer; replacing and upgrading end of life equipment
on the baseline sets. Moved and reallocated equipment, maintaining and keeping all sites functional
and accurate for future upgrades or modifications. Logged all new and upgraded equipment into a
Excel Spreadsheet, maintaining accountability and a accurate specifications rundown on future
modifications to the baseline drawings. Configuration checked all documentation delivery sets in order
to comply with customer and company standards.
Design Checker / Configuration Management Analyst: AeroTek Sept. 23rd
2013 to Feb. 10th
2014
Contracted to the Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) in order to perform Design Checking and
Configuration Management; working on Word Documents, AutoCAD & SolidWorks Drawings, Excel
Spread Sheets, and Adobe PDF’s. All work performed was produced for the U.S. Government and the
FAA. SNC specializes in military Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance contracts. Our group
worked within a Database contained in SolidWorks called EPDM. This database stored, housed old
revisions, and processed the approvals of all the documentation and drawings that the company had
produced for its delivery of products to its customers. Design checked multiple project sets of
documentation as they came to my department. Ever evolving and growing till each project was
delivered.
Mechanical Drafter Instructor: Intellitec College May 17th
2012 to May 31st
2013
Teaching the fundamentals of drafting with using the principals and structure of Algebra and Technical
Writing; while binding the three into a skill set to be used in the industry. Taking all the combined
experience I have learned and gathered in my past professions to teach the next generation of
Page 2
3. Drafter/Designer’s for the workforce of today. Creating the structured disciplines in design needed for
innovation; while asking questions before, during, and after the design phases in engineering. Adding
these thinking portions to the lesson plans that our young thinkers and old thinkers need to be asking
themselves while being trained. Providing these traits in the beginning portion of classes and
cultivating their minds to apply the understanding while teaching them the ins and outs of the basics.
Re-working the syllabus and lesson plans for the majority of the classes here at the college, not only
for the understanding of what goes on but to re-word and work them for clarity. Making the lessons
flow and meld into each other more freely and making it easier to pass off the student from instructor
to instructor.
IT Specialist (Active Duty National Guard): ARMY Feb. 8th
2011 to Feb. 15th
2012
I had joined back into the ARMY National Guard to perform IT Specialist work at a NCO School House,
performing administrative tasks. Worked laptops of all different brands from HP’s to Dell’s, and many
non-name brand models that utilize Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Replaced and fixed HD’s,
LCD Screens, Card Readers, CD-ROMs, Keyboards, Mouse Pads, to even Mother-boards. Maintained
and serviced 200+ student laptops with updates, configurations, and monthly cleaning. Maintained and
serviced 75+ Staff Laptops, which constantly needed assistance with updates, software, and special
needs. Performed administrative duties which consisted of the following; Printer Maintenance and
Driver Installation, Diagnose and Repair of Internet Services (LAN & WiFi), Personnel’s Accounts for
Access, service on Copiers, Scanners, Network Switches, and Software updates and Downloads.
Serviced, Repaired, and Replaced Projectors and their Bulbs. Personally set-up basic classroom
equipment and furnishings for students, while servicing 10 classrooms worth of Laptops, Equipment,
and Instructors. Worked with State G6 IT Service Center on technical tasks and training as needed.
Field Engineer 2 (Design Support Engineer): Honeywell Nov. 3rd
2009 to Dec 5th
2010
Worked and served within two job title positions at Honeywell. First I was a liaison to engineers with
Documentation and Hardware design needs to then move on as a Documentation Design Support
Engineer. Would alternate between jobs as needed, but would ultimately lead a team of 10 to 15
Documentation Support Engineers in correcting Documentation within a database called Team Center.
Team Center held the entire configured site and off site documentation for how each facility functioned
as a networked HUB of communication uplinks around the world. Engineers would want to change,
remove, update equipment at these sites; they would coordinate with me and my section to update the
design and documentation. The updated document would go before a board of engineers for approval
and be made official. The update would be approved and then the old documentation would be
archived and the new one would be in place. This was done on multiple projects within each site as
new equipment replaced old, and new projects came on line. Instructed personnel to create and
construct a structured documentation tree of all linked documentation for each of the sites Honeywell
maintains.
Hardware Mechanical Engineer: Boecore Contractor June 16th
2008 to October 2nd
2009
Contracted to ITT Industries to perform re-modernization of a Phase Shifting Radar Facility. Designed,
Documented, and modeled the layouts of the Systems Rack Configurations. Locating and
documenting each identified “To and From” cabling locations for all components. Modeled and
Calculated lengths between locations on HW components. Taking that data and matching up
connectors, bulk materials, COTS cabling, and mounting assemblies for the systems. Created Wire
Lists and documented configuration of the design. Provided data and specifications from Vendors as
needed in assisting other engineers on tasks. Designed mounting hardware, face plates for PCB
boards within VME’s, and researched other solutions in formulation other designs. Assisted with the
assembling and positioning HW Components within a rack, documenting the design and configuration.
Interfaced with vendors to retrieve specs, materials, and purchasing components for department.
Took experience and guidance from other engineers to build and grow a better and more efficient
working environment.
