DKNY.Each windowdisplaywaschangedona monthlybasisthroughoutthe world,eachhadtobe
mockedup,brokendown,boxedandshippedonafuriouslyfasttrackedprogramme.

My role wasto provide site settingoutand technical backup to the MD. Thisinvolvedexpandingmy
experience toall aspectsof the shopfittingtrade.Duringthistime Iwasfortunate to workon some
outstandingcontractsforthe likesof RickMatherand Eva JiricnaArchitects. These innovative
designersalwayspushedthe boundariesandPatandI were there tohelpbringthese ideasto
fruition.
Architectural MetalworkDraftsman - BrentMetal Limited(June 1982 to May 1989)
I was originally employedasanapprentice draftsmanworkingdirectlyunderthe drawingoffice
manager.For the first4 yearsmy role wasto accompanythe manager,learnthe craft and produce
breakdowndetailsfromthe GA’sandliaise withthe varioussectionforemen.My role evolvedintoa
more seniorone andI became a memberof the drawingoffice teamresponsibleforshowcase works
for the likesof the KingFaisal Foundation,Churchill WarRoomsandBank of EnglandMuseum.
Apprentice Engineer– Hoare,Lea and Partners (September1977 to May 1982)
Afterleavingschool Iwasacceptedforan apprenticeshipasa trainee consultingengineer.Ispent
the first2 yearsinthe electrical departmentandthentransferredtomechanical.Iattendedbothday
and blockrelease atvarioustechnical collegeswhilstworkingwiththe engineersoncontractsmainly
inthe Middle East.
Hobbies and Interests:
I am the foundermemberand headinstructorat SpiritCombatCheshamMartial Artsclub,
establishedin1986 the clubhas gone on to winmanyaccoladesandis highlyrespectedforitsstand
up jujutsuand kickboxing.Iwas fortunate tohave beenappointedWorldCo-ordinatorforMAASin
2004, thishas seenme teachingatseminarsthroughoutthe Worldforthe past 11 years.
