2. Out of 16 years working career, I have been working on IT infrastructure area over 13 years all the way
since starting as field engineer of network security in 2001, and then UNIX system administrator, and
Oracle DBA, application server engineer, and ended up as infrastructure architect in Tesco who is able
to plan, design, implement and deploy all of infrastructure across hardware capacity planning,
budgeting, architecture design across network, server, storage and so on in terms of enterprise system
project. Also, I’ve been the head of infrastructure in Tesco China, who is in charge of day-to-day infra
service, and participate Tesco global infra projects and manages multiple local infra projects.
• I have good hands-on experience upon Oracle retail products (Oracle DB, Oracle Application
Server: Apache, Forms and Reports, ORMS, ORWMS, ORIB) I have built ORMS V10 in Tesco
China myself.
• ORWMS is Oracle Retail Warehouse Management System, I have full infrastructure
implementation and operation experience including distribution centre infra facility design and

My name is James Choi, Korean, born in 1972, Seoul. I am married having wife, and two sons. I have
majored industrial engineering in one of top 3 engineering university in Korea, and got master degree
of EMBA in Shanghai Jia-Tong university.
I have around 16 years working experience (over 11years in Tesco, and 5years in other companies) in
IT. And 13 years out of it, I have walked all the way in IT infrastructure area since Oct 2001 starting
from network/security (firewall, VPN, ex-CISSP certified) as field engineer, and then system engineer
handling UNIX and Oracle database, and ended up as infra architect and infra project manager for
ERP system deployment into data centre, distribution centre, and store, and stepped up to the head of
infrastructure in Tesco China. I have managed infra people organization including 3rd
parities for both
infra project and daily operation, also joined a lot of Tesco global/local infra projects across countries
such as global WAN migration project, global desktop project, local data centre expansion project
including system migration with virtual team who sit in the different countries.
In China Resources Corporate, I’ve been responsible for building IT infrastructure framework and
evaluating infrastructure deployment over group projects as one of group IT architect members. In
Tesco, I’ve worked in Korea (1yr), seconded in UK (1yr), and in China (8yr). I’ve exposed to quite multi-
