The document contains congratulatory messages from multiple individuals celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the James 1:27 Trust, which provides care for vulnerable children. The messages praise the Trust's important work, Robert Botha's leadership and vision in establishing the organization, and the perseverance and contributions of those involved in making the Trust a reality over the last decade in order to positively impact the lives of many children.
Celebrating 10 Years of Caring for Vulnerable Children
1. What a blessing and privilege it is
to be part of the James 1:27
journey and the dream to care for
others who need it most. As we
pass through this life, we make
choices about where we spend
our time, effort and energy. We
grapple daily with the important
vs the urgent. Only that which we
do for Christ will last for eternity.
Thank you Robert for your vision
and leadership these last 10 years
and the JT127 team standing
beside you, turning this
important dream into reality. May
the Lord bless you during this
time of celebration !

2. Ten years of pressing in to the complexities of
creating an operating framework for the care-full
holistic care of large numbers of
vulnerable children drawing on the willing
contributions of a wide range of organisations
and people all over the globe."
This statement alone can make one feel the
weight and immensity of the task. But Robert
Botha, assisted by so many others at and
through JAMES 1:27 TRUST has stayed faithful to
the task and strong in confidence that it will be
fully operational and effective, since the days of
small beginnings in 2004 in this very hall.
Well done for your joint perseverance and varying
contributions, large and small! Many young lives
are being changed for the better, and many, more
will still be blessed.
Don't stop now - we are trusting with you! Its a
little like watching Noah build something that's
not been built before.
Congratulations on reaching the ten year
milestone - may the speed and effectiveness of
your progress in the future surprise you and
speed the day of completion for the sake of the
little ones!

3. When the James 1:27 Trust is celebrating its 10th
anniversary, let us all rejoice at its existence and
achievements in the Blessed Name of our Lord
Jesus Christ! I thank the Lord and praise Him for
you and your Trust all those working and serving
with you. May He bless you a thousand times and
keep you safe in His Care.
Indeed, Christian life has always been led in the
Lord’s footsteps of witness to the Truth and the
Service of the Poor and God’s beloved little ones,
for “Dear children, let us not love with words or
speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John
3:18).
It has been a long time since I met with my
brother in Christ Robert Botha, but I still
remember him with love and affection. I am so
proud of what he has achieved in terms of
discipleship to the Risen Lord and love for his
fellow human beings. Sometimes, dogmatism can
separate people. Love never does!
I pray that we, Christians of all confessions and
dominations, we might be united in the service of
humanity, in the service of the poor, and find that
the same Spirit is living in our hearts, though with
different cultures and expressions. The Spirit is a
Spirit of unity, never of division.
Rejoice, and, please, pray also for me.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for
righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:6-9)
4. It is my privilege and that of all in African
enterprise to join in congratulating
Robert Botha and the James 1:27 Trust
on reaching this great landmark of the
founding of this great and highly
significant ministry. We believe that
there are very few ministries more
important than this one in our country at
this time.
The Bible gives one of the highest
priorities in ministry to the caring for
orphans and widows. Indeed the Bible
speaks of it as “Pure Religion.” In South
Africa, more than most countries in the
world, has a massive orphan population
for whom the caring capacities of the
government are utterly inadequate.
James 1:27 Trust have stepped into this
gap and we salute and commend them
with all our hearts.
May the ministry be blessed with many
more years of service.
