3. ISO:
ISO creates documents and provide requirements and guidelines that can be use to
ensure that materials, products, process or services are fit for their purpose.
4. ISO 14000:
ISO 14000 is a series of international environmental management standards,
guides, and technical reports.
This standards specify:
o Requirements for establishing an environmental management police.
o Determining environmental impacts of products and services.
o Planning environmental objectives.
o Implementing programs to meet objectives.
o Conducting corrective action.
o Management review.
5. ISO 14000 History:
• First environmental management system standard, BS7750 was published in 1992 by BSI
group.
• In 1996, International organization for standardization (ISO) created the ISO 14000 family
for standards.
• Current revision of ISO 14000 was published in September 2015.
