2. What is a Temperature Indicator?
• A temperature indicator is a device that is placed
inside of a package during storage or shipping
for the purpose of quality control.
• Indicators can inform you if a package has gone
below or above a certain temperature.
• They are useful in delivering irreversible
evidence of exposure to unacceptable
temperature conditions.
4. Types of Temperature Indicators/Recorders
• WarmMark Indicator
• Freeze Indicator
• Descending Temperature Indicator
• USB Temperature Data Logger
5. Products by SpotSee

6. What is the difference between
ColdMarks and WarmMarks?
• It may seem fairly simple that ColdMarks let you know when
the package is too cold and WarmMark if the package is too
hot.
• However there are some differences, such as the WarmMark
has 3 levels of intensity brief, moderate, and prolonged.
• Some of the window times vary for the WarmMark but in
general it is 1 hour for brief, 3 hours for moderate and 12
hours for prolonged.
• The WarmMark indications turn red on breaching the
specified temperature whereas the ColdMark is a singular
bulb that will turn violet when the temperature has gone
below the specified temperature.
• The cold mark only has 1 level of intensity and that is just
when the temperature has gone below the specified for 30
minutes or less.
7. Things to know about ColdMark
• Uses an adhesive liner to stick to the inside of
the package
• Must store the unused ColdMarks above
activation temperature and below 43°C / 110°F
• Indicator bulb turns violet when temperature is
breached
• Temperature Variations: -3°C/26°F | 0°C/32°F |
2°C/36°F | 5°C/41°F | 10°C/50°F
8. Things to know about WarmMarks
• Single Use
• To activate the device fold a pull the tab at the
top
• Store unused WarmMarks in dry environment
below response temperature for the best shelf
life
• Indication circles will turn from white to red
when the temperature is breached
• Also has special Duo Warm Mark indicator that
comes in 4 windows one of the windows is for
telling if the product has gone above 34°C and
the other 3 are for 10°C at different intervals.
• Temperature Variations: -18°C/0°F | 0°C/32°F |
5°C/41°F | 8°C/46°F | 10°C/50°F | 20°C/68°F |
25°C/77°F | 30°C/86°F | 37°C/99°F
• Duo Temperature: 10°C & 34°C
9. What is the FCP indicator?
• FCP is a different kind of indicator also known
as a descending indicator.
• There is an irreversible marker that will be a
green circle when the indicator is unactivated,
aka the product is within proper temperatures.
• The circle will turn red if the product has
dropped below the specified temperature.
• This will indicate to anyone on the supply chain
to discard the product or do with it as they see
fit.
10. What to know about the FCP
• Shelf Life: 1 year
• Self-activating
• Temperature variations: -2°C / 28°F | 0°C /

11. What is a USB Temperature Data
Logger?
• A USB data logger is a device that is placed
inside of a package that will take the
temperature of the package on a set interval and
record all of the data.
• Once the device has been removed from the
package all the consumer will need to do is plug
the USB part of the device into a computer and a
PDF file of the recorded data will be created.
