The first few shots in
my opening
sequence are based
around Jade making
a coffee in the
morning.
This will be done
in my kitchen
within my house.
In this scene props
are not extremely
important but Jade
will use basic items
in order to make
her coffee (kettle,
mug etc..) these
aren’t thought to be
important props but
actually are
extremely
important in this
scene because of
the connotations
that the audience
will perceive which
is my aim,
Jade will be wearing
her pyjamas in this
scene, I have
decided to do this
because the
connotations
pyjamas have and
what they are used
for. This reinforces
the idea of Jade only
just waking up or it
being the morning
which is how I want
to audience to
perceive Jade
wearing her
pyjamas.
This scene will be
shot in the
morning at
around 9am as it
fits in with my aim
of the opening
sequence.
This location is used
twice, first as Jade
walks to her
bedroom in order to
get ready and
secondly to leave
her house in order
to walk to work.
Jade will walk up
and down the
stairs in my house
during my
opening sequence
to show
continuity but also
to portray what
Jade is doing
(getting ready) or
leaving the house
which is made
The only props that
will be used during
the first shot at this
location is the
coffee which Jade
made in the
previous scene, this
is simply because it
fits in with the
scene previous to
this one.
Jade will originally be
wearing her pyjamas
like the previous
scene.
After this, Jade will
be wearing her work
uniform as it fits in
with scenes later on
in my opening
sequence but also to
show the realistic

significant issue as
I will be inside.

This location is used
as Jade leaves her
house and also at
the end of my
opening sequence as
she runs home.
This is where a
large proportion
of my opening
sequence is
filmed, and where
my opening
sequence will end
as a slight cliff-
hanger. Crewe
Road.
As Jade leaves her
home she will have
her bag which
contains her
resources for work
but as she returns
she’s actually left
her bag behind with
these items in,
because of the
shock and rush she
is in, in order to get
to the hospital this
is why the props are
important in this
Jade will be wearing
her work uniform as
she leaves her home
and as she returns
because this fits in
with Jades everyday
life, which is then
disrupted during her
walk to work, which
is entertaining as it
highlights how
realistic Jades life is
for a viewing
audience even when
it is damaged.
Both these shots
will be filmed at
about 9am
because shortly
after this Jade is
supposed to have
been starting
work.

3. scene but Jade
leaves them behind
as if they are
worthless when
they are extremely
valuable and
expensive which
shows the serious
situation that Jade
is in.
In this scene Jade is
on the phone to her
mother and on the
way to work.
She is also seen here
as she is running
home after finding
out about Amelia.
This is the same
road as my house
and I’ve simply
chosen this road
because it is
easier at this
location for
filming purposes.
Like the previous
scene Jade will be
using the same
props but as she is
running back down
this road her bag
will be gone.
Jade will be wearing
the same clothing in
this shot as she was
in the previous shot.
This shot will be
filmed at around
9am for the same
reasoning as my
previous shot
(Jade walking to
work). I hope that
in these shots the
weather on that
day fit in with my
opening
sequence, I would
hope for it to be
quite dark and the
sun still rising
simply because
this reinforces
how it is the
morning
compared to if it

4. was extremely
light I do not think
it would look
correct.
Jade is shown here
as she gets a call
from emergency
services. I’ve
decided to use two
separate locations
from when she
receives both calls
as it is realistic
because of this as
she is walking to
work.
This is also the
same road as my
house.
At this point, Jade
has received the
information about
Amelia and has left
her bag with all her
valuable resources
in, and it is at this
location that Jade
starts to run home.
Again in this shot,
Jade will be wearing
the same outfit as
she was in the
previous one.
I have decided to
attempt to film
this shot quite
early in the
morning (around
7am) because it is
dark outside at
this time and as
the equilibrium
has just been
disrupted in my
opening sequence
the weather
outside could
reflect on how the
viewing audience
react to this which
is very important
to my opening
scene to be a
success.
