2. About me
• My name is Jack Holloway and I’m 19 years old, I currently study at South Downs College doing level 3 Multi
media Journalism I’m in my first year of the two year course.
• I’m a massive sports fan, with a wide range of knowledge about many different sports mainly football.
• In my spare time I like to listen to music which I feel has a lot of power in one’s day, I also like to play football with
my mates in my spare time usually at the weekend and more often than not I will play Xbox with my mates on a
daily bases.
3. Dream Job
• Sports journalist would be my dream job in 10 years for this I will need a Bachelor degree in
broadcasting this is a 4 year program which will equip me with the knowledge and skills required
of this occupation.
• I’ll then need to complete a internship which is a extensive on the job training for a career in sports
broadcasting, many graduates gain this training through internships with television or radio
broadcasting stations. Internships will offer me a hands on experience under the supervision of
skilled radio and televisions professionals this will help me develop to the next stage of my dream
job.
• Once I’ve completed these stages I can then go on and advance with my experience. Aspiring
broadcasting professionals may begin their career in non-broadcasting positions as reporters,
equipment operators or production assistants. Once I have then demonstrated a capacity
for sports announcing I can then possible work my way up to on air sports broadcasting.
4. Why I want to work there
• The reason why this is my chosen dream job is because I have a huge interest and love for
sports, and I can see myself having a career in sports where I can express my opinions with other
people who share the same interest as me in sports, and to work with people who have the same
opinions as me would make for a good workplace.
• I have always wanted to work somewhere in sports due to my passion for it as a whole, and I think
this would fulfill my dream of doing something in sports where I can always develop to the next
level so I’m learning and having fun while doing that.

6. Experience
• I’ve had work experience working in a charity shop called Sue Ryder, it was a
valuable experience that I have taken away with me. I have also had to set up and
sell some items on stools in school and college although this isn’t the most difficult job
I gained key customer service with from this.
• When I was working in Sue Ryder, I had multiple tasks to do within the day, they
varied from sorting out new items that were handed in by the public, stacking shelves
when needed, showing people around, working on the till and helping people carry
bags of new items from their vehicle when needed.
