2. Photos chosen for
ancillary tasks
– The photos taken varied between to major elements of any documentary footage, the location and
the individuals whom are to be shown in the final filming. On the other hand, there are serious
aspects to consider when planning to create a mini documentary. For example, as the documentary
is only a few minutes long, not all shots taken can be inserted. Taking this into account, after
finalising my camerawork and gathering enough potential footage for my end documentary, the
difficult period of evaluating what shots were appropriate and what shots were not for different
reasons.
– Besides taking into consideration the inspirational images of the Poster and magazine listing chosen
that was earlier found online prior to the creation of the ancillary tasks, as an independent
individual ideally one craves to add their own creativity in elements that are perhaps unique yet
remain acceptable for the form of advertisement.
3. The images shown to the left are images used in my ancillary tasks.
A close up shot of the head teacher which was the main image for my magazine
listing.
Surrounded by the camera shots of the CNCS Sign and a play ground scenery
involving students as well as significant buildings in the distance.
I chose these images as it presents different times in the documentary, for
instance the school sign is the opening scene to my documentary, then the head
teachers interview towards the end of the documentary and the shot of the
active school grounds at break time in the middle of the documentary.

4. Poster main image
– The posters that I came across during my research of existing posters I came across
online all consisted of the one main image. The main image to the left is of the
English teacher named Mrs Robbins students surrounding her.
– Also an action shot taken that appears in my documentary therefore it is more than
suitable for a form of advertisement in accordance to the short documentary. My
main reason for this shot being my main image in my poster is that it frames the
emotions that are highlighted throughout the documentary. A struggling teacher
attempting to gain some authority and control over her students.
