Why it happens:
No control over water cement ratio
e.g. either less water used while making plaster / concrete makes the mass dry post
curing of plaster and concrete resulting to cracks or dusting.
Excess water used :
Excess water used for achieving workability does not guarantee a homogeneous mi
x of cement – sand / aggregates and results into separation of ingredients of plaster
/ concrete (while laying concrete excess water leads to bleeding of cement – water
mix on top of the mass results into dusting in due course of time)
No control on water cement ratio or less awareness about the role of water in
producing cement – sand plaster.
Getting quality sand (silt free or less silt free as specified) also, plays vital role i
n producing quality / homogeneous cement sand plaster / mortar.
