The document discusses creating a school magazine to practice using software in preparation for creating a music magazine. It outlines gathering content ideas from peers such as music, artists, reviews. Sketching the layout before creating the magazine helped provide a guideline and save time. Creating the school magazine helped develop Photoshop skills and ideas for a future music magazine.
1. I will create a magazine for my
school so I can allow myself to
get used to the software so I can
successfully create a music
magazine without the help of the
teacher. My school magazine
might not be as good as my main
magazine but it will just be a
guide on how to use the
software and will in the long run
allow me to create a music
magazine of a higher quality.
2. I looked online and asked peers
on what they think should go in
on the contents page on my
school magazine and I used
some of the results in my
magazine.
Music, artists, free cd, reviews, unique features, interviews,
questionnaires, adverts,
3. Sketching my school
magazine before creating
it helped me as I used this
as a guide line to create
my magazine, it also saved
me a lot of time.
5. On this image I decided to
crop out Jordan so the
background is not there, I
did this because I wanted
just the actor and the
colour of the background
not the same colour as
the colour scheme on my
magazine. I chose to use a
picture of a student
making a crazy face
because it links with the
main article on my
magazine. The blue and
white stripy hoodie
matches the colour of the
background.
6. The original background image was just plain blue but I added a
black and white fuzz to match the text boxes and Jordans(main
image) jumper as it is blue and white.
7. Making the school magazine has
allowed me to develop my
photoshop software skills as I was
new to the programme, it also
helped me to develop ideas for my
music magazine.
