PMI Training in Chicago for Veterans presented by Black Diamond Charities with the ongoing partnerships and commitment of the Chicagoland PMI Volunteers and IIT Stuart School of Business.
3. Introduction
Currently service members do not have a fast
efficient way to connect with Veteran Service
Organizations.
A mobile phone application is a modern, technical,
and convenient solution for veterans to connect to
such organizations.
Such a solution can get more benefits to more
veterans and do it quicker and easier.
4. This project will create a mobile application to
connect service members to service organizations.
This work effort will be a pilot to confirm market
acceptance.
The focus will be on assisting service members with
educational, housing and employment opportunities.
The application will be free and allow service
members to access this information anywhere on the
globe.

Legend:
Milestone
• We choose apple and android because the are the two largest
phone software companies on the market.
• When it comes to the focus groups the quality of participant
is extremely important. Their feedback will be essential to the
final product.
• Having phone purchased and in the has on the user in the
testing phase.
• Potentially not finding the type of user that will ultimately use
the app. Test group not sticking around through the testing
phase.
12. Wrap Up
The proposed App will bridge a gap between veteran
service organizations and service members
Project duration will be 21 weeks
Project budget will be $138,000
Proactive communication between stakeholders will
help mitigate risk and ensure quality results
Is the Veterans Administration ready to go mobile
