INTRODUCTION:
As human, GOD give us each and every thing for our survival and each one is unique in its
properties
In Quran “So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55:13
And if any one that favor is missing survival of human is difficult as in these favors one of the
most important thing is senses and which is most power full thing in human body
As we have 5 senses “sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch” out of these senses vision is one of the
most important about 40% of brain is used in sense of sight and in our society some persons
haven’t that gift and they are called BLIND or visually impaired person in medical terms it is
called DIPLOPIA.
They are special person and they didn’t see the beauty of nature but can experience through
their other powerful senses.
As we know that Architects are social scientist so they have to do something for that blind
persons because they are part of our society and to feel the whole environment through special
spaces and experience the beauty of nature without any guide or support.
MOTIVATION:
The visually impaired person can’t see but has power to other senses. As we know that 40% of
brain is used for sense of vision but if a person haven’t that sense so he/she use that power in
other senses and it is scientifically proven that blind person have more powerful senses then
normal person
15.1 million Male and 15.7 million female are blind in the USA (WHO report 2010)
1.14 million are blind in Pakistan (NCPB 2006)(National committee for the preventation of
blindness )
And the number is increasing that is 2 million in 2010 by
Dr.M.Shahnawaz (Ophthalmologist and porton in chief of disabled welfare association)
In the presence of rules and regulation for such disable person we didn’t have any specific build
environment
“Equal opportunities for people with disabilities”
