Safety is the state of being “safe” the condition of being protected from harm or other non-desirable outcomes. Safety can also refer to the control of recognized hazards in order to achieve an acceptable level of risk. Safety is the cornerstone of TPM. It involves safety activities that address dangerous conditions and behavior that can cause accidents. This ensures safe workplace so, that is accident free workplace. Creating such a workplace will require getting rid of three evils “difficulty, dirt, and danger”. These three combined makes unsafe conditions for a workplace. Workplace organization & discipline, inspections & servicing, and standardization are all essential elements in creating a safe workplace.
