Why Cloud Computing?
What about cloud
computing? It is
better than an on-
premise setup
But how is it
better than
on-premise?

Why Cloud Computing?
Why use Cloud?
On-premises Cloud Computing
• Maintenance of servers
• Same pay even if some servers are idle
• Scaling servers are a hard task; especially
scaling down
• Have to mange the security of the Data
centre and stop unauthorized breaches
• Cloud providers will manage your servers
• Pay as you go – Pay only for the servers
currently in use
• Scaling up/down is a very easy task
• The cloud providers have a secure data
centre architecture

Cloud models: Deployment & Service
Deployment Models
In a public cloud, your applications would reside on a shared
infrastructure. But your services will be isolated from other users
using the same cloud provider
Public Cloud
A private cloud is not very different from a public cloud, only that
the security features vary. In a private cloud, your infrastructure or
server will just have your applications.
Private Cloud
A hybrid cloud is a combination of a public cloud and a private
cloud. So, you can keep mission-critical data on the private cloud
and apps for public use on the public cloud
Hybrid Cloud
