MONDAY 14th April
After breakfast, we will meet the local guide and board the bus to start the city
tour. We climb up to the marble-capped Acropolis and visit the
famous Parthenon and the Erechtheion. We will then walk to nearby Mars’
Hill(Areopagus) (Acts 17:22) where the Apostle Paul delivered his well-known
sermon. Our tour continues with the highlights of modern Athens: we pass by
the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament House, Presidential Palace,
Panathenian Stadium, Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Academy, the University
and the National Library. Free time for shopping in the Plaka. Dinner and
overnight at Hotel Parthenon in Athens. (BD)
4. TUESDAY 15th April

The route out of Athens takes us by the Saronic Gulf via the historic Corinthian
Canal (quick stop for photos) to ancient Corinth (Acts 18:1-18). It was to this
megalopolis where the apostle Paul came and worked, established a thriving
church, subsequently sending two of his epistles now part of the New
Testament. Here, see all of the sites associated with his ministry: the Agora,
the Temple of Apollo, the Roman Odeon, the Bema and Gallio’s Seat.
The small archaeological museum here is an absolute must! We continue to
visit to Lechaion and also see the ruins of early Christian 5th century basilica at
the ancient port of Cenchreae before returning to Athens for Overnight. (B-D)
WEDESDAY 16th April – (PASSOVER HOLIDAY)
Morning flight from Athens to TelAviv. On arrival we will visit the ancient port
of Joppa where Jonah embarked on his eventful voyage. The remainder of the
day will be for rest and relaxation. Overnight in Tel Aviv. (B-D)
5. THURSDAY 17th April

After breakfast we will be taking the coastal road via Maris route north from
Tel Aviv we visit the Mediterranean sea port of CAESAREA, site of Herod’s
Palace, home of Cornelius and where Paul was brought to trial.
Continue to MT. CARMEL where Elijah challenged Israel to trust in their God,
defeating the prophets of Baal. Enjoy spectacular views of the Jezreel Valley as
we visit the plains of Meggido where it is prophesied the battle of
ARMAGEDDON will take place. Overnight Galilee. (BD)
6. FRIDAY 18th April – (PASSOVER BEGINS IN ISRAEL)
A traditional sailing vessel will take us across the Sea of Galilee, with a time of
reflection and praise on the Sea of Galilee. We disembark at Nof Ginosar, a
kibbutz located on the shores of the Kinneret where we will see the remains of
a boat from the time of Jesus. In CAPERNAUM, the city of Jesus, we visit the
ruins of the synagogue where He performed many miracles.
View the excavations of ST PETER’S house and visit TABGHA, where Jesus
performed the miracle of multiplication with five loaves and two fishes to feed
the multitudes. Ascend the MOUNT OF BEATITUDES, where we will read the
Sermon on the Mount. We finish our day at the Yardenit Baptismal site on the
JORDAN RIVER. Opportunity will be given for those wishing to be baptised for

8. MONDAY 21st April

This morning we visit the mighty fortress of MASADA, the site of the last heroic
3-year stand of 960 Jewish defenders against the Roman Empire. From its
heights (by cable car) we have tremendous views of Jordan and the Dead Sea.
We visit Ein Gedi Spring, David’s refuge from Saul. We then make our
memorial ascent through the Judean Wilderness, up to the City of God,

TUESDAY 22nd April
From the Church of Ascension we follow the footsteps of our Lord. Pondering
the agony on the MOUNT OF OLIVES and the GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE,
through St Stephens Gate into the OLD CITY. Walk the Via Dolorosa visiting the
Church of St Ann, POOL OF BETHESDA and the PRAETORIUM, said to be the
location of the trial and condemnation of Jesus. We tour the newly excavated
Herodian Tunnel and view the ancient paved streets of Jerusalem at the time
of Jesus 2,000 years ago. Passing through the colourful bazaar streets of the
OLD CITY we arrive at the JAFFA GATE. Overnight Jerusalem. (BD)

Our sojourn today takes us to visit the City Gates of Jerusalem. We will discuss
the significance of each gate “on site” The remainder of the day is yours to

Morning flight to Istanbul. In the afternoon we will have a half day relaxing
cruise along the European and Asiatic shores of the Bosphorus and a visit to

10. FRIDAY 25th April

After breakfast we will commence with a city tour of Istanbul visiting the
Byzantine Hippodrome, Sultanahmet’s majestic Blue Mosque, the Topkapi
Palace including the special places of the Harem, Treasury Emeralds,
Spoonmaker’s Diamond and the holy relics of the Sacred Safekeeping Rooms.
We visit the facinating Old City’s underground Basilica cisterns where you can
have a period costume Sultan and Sultana photograph taken, Saint Sophia
Basilica and Museum are next on our itinerary. We will make a refreshment
stop at a tea house with a spectacular view over Istanbul and have free time in

11. SATURDAY 26th April
TOUR LINK
From Istanbul we travel south west to the GALLIPOLI PENINSULA and ANZAC
COVE. Visit the Lone Pine cemeteries, see the old trenches and view the
monument to Kernal Ataturk (1881-1938) the founder of the Turkish Republic
before crossing the DARDANELLES by ferry to the coastal city of CANAKKALE.
Continue south arriving at ASSOS, the Hellenistic city where St. Paul rejoined
his companions. Acts 16:8-11; 20:5, 6, II Tim. 4:13 II Cor. 2:12.

SUNDAY 27th April
We travel to Troy to see the legendary city and the replica of the Wooden
Horse and recall the great works of Homer. We drive to Alexandria Troas
founded by Alexander the Great. St Paul visited here at least twice and it is
where Paul raised the young Eutychus from the dead and had a vision calling
him to preach the Gospel in Macedonia. We drive through beautiful mountains
and olive groves to the port city of Izmir, known in the New Testament as
SMYRNA (Rev. 2:12-17) We visit the Velvet Castle built by one of Alexander the
Great¹s generals, the Agora, Roman Aqueduct and the Loin statue that reminds
of the Roman persecution of the followers of Christ. Overnight Izmir. (BD)
12. MONDAY 28th April
TOUR LINK
After breakfast, we will drive to Ephesus and we visit the House of the Virgin
Mary, the grave of St John the Apostle and archaelogical museum at Selcuk. In the
centre of Selcuk we will see a huge statue of the Goddess Artemis who Paul spoke
against in Ephesus. We tour the ruins of EPHESUS (Rev. 2:1) once the Roman
capital of Asia of which Paul asked “is there a greater city”? We will walk the
ancient marble streets past the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus, the
Temple of Hadrian and the Basilica of St. John the Apostle. Overnight in the
vibrant port city of Kusadasi. (BD)
TUESDAY 29th April
Morning ferry to Patmos, the mysterious rocky island where the exiled St. John
wrote the Book of Revelation. At around noon arrive in Patmos. Meet your guide
and transfer to a local restaurant for lunch. (luggage will be stored at a nearby
hotel). After lunch we meet our guide and board the bus to drive up to the
Monastery of St. John the Evangelist, where we have a wonderful view of the
island. We then visit the Grotto of the Revelation where the heavenly voice of God
revealed to St. John the future of humanity. Dinner at local restaurant in Patmos.
Free time until embarkation on the night ferry to Piraeus port of Athens, departing
at 11.55 pm. Overnight on board. (BD)
