DAY 1 SAT Board your overnight flight to
Turkey from USA.
DAY 2 SUN Arrival in Istanbul Upon arrival,
meet with TurkeyVision representative and
transfer to your hotel. Attend briefing about

DAY 3 MON Istanbul After breakfast, visit
treasure-filled Topkapi Palace (residence of the
Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th
century) with its terraces overlooking the
Marmara Sea, the Bosphorus, and the Golden
Horn. Lunch and visit the Blue Mosque,
recognizable by its six minarets. Built between
1609 and 1616 for Sultan Ahmet I, the interior is
decorated with some 21,000 blue Iznik tiles.
Visit the Hippodrome, where political, cultural,
and athletic activities took place during Roman,
Byzantine, and Ottoman times. End the day at

Çanakkale (260 mi) In the morning, depart
for Pergamum, the capital of the Attalid
dynasty. Visit this ancient city where
parchment was invented. Highlights include
the Acropolis with the ruins of the agoras,
temples, palaces, the library which
contained 200,000 volumes, the podium on
which stood the Zeus Altar and the
impressive theatre built into the steep
hillside which provides a wonderful
panorama of the surroundings. In the lower
part of the ancient city, visit the Asclepion,
a sanctuary and a healing center dedicated
