  2. 2. In Edinburgh, holds the national collection of modern art. When opened in 1960, the collection was held in Inverleith House, at the Royal Botanic Gardens. In 1980 it moved to its current home: a Neo Classical building in the west of Edinburgh, near the Water of Leith, built in 1825-1828 by William Burn for John Watson's Hospital, a school now incorporated in George Watson's College.
  3. 3. The British Museum is a museum in London dedicated to human history and culture. The British Museum was established in 1753. Until 1997 the British Museum was unique in that it housed both a national museum and a national library in the same building. Today, the British Museum become one of the largest museums in the world.
  4. 4. Is a museum in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England and is part of the national Science Museum Group. The museum has seven floors of galleries with permanent exhibitions focusing on photography, television, animation, video gaming, the internet and the scientific principles behind light and colour. The venue also has three cinemas, including an IMAX screen and hosts two film festivals each year, including the Bradford International Film Festival. In September 2011 the museum was voted the best indoor attraction in Yorkshire by the public, and it is one of the most visited museums in the north of England.
  5. 5. Tate Modern is a modern art gallery located in London. It is Britain's national gallery of international modern art and forms part of the Tate group . It is the most-visited modern art gallery in the world, with around 5 million visitors per year. It is based in the former Bankside Power Station. Tate holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day and international modern and contemporary art.

Founded as the Imperial War Museum in 1917, the museum was intended to record the civil and military war effort and sacrifice of Britain and its Empire during the First World War.
  7. 7. The National Gallery is an art museum on Trafalgar Square in London. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings . It is the fifth most visited art museum in the world, after the Musée du Louvre, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum and Tate Modern.
