2. Malnutrition is the most prevailing, as well as one of the most prominent social issue in
this modern India. Malnutrition is the state of one being weak as he/she is deprived of
nutritious food/diet.
Malnutrition has already affected 178 million children and sadly only 28 countries are
serving as the bait of this, in which India is the main goat. These children die mostly of
common illness’s which can easily be fought by a non-malnourished child.
Even though the condition is directly linked to the poverty, this inference is wrong! We
have more causes. Some of the causes include :
Agricultural Unproductivity.
Misuse of the resources meant to serve poor.
Lack of basic Medicinal awareness.
Illiteracy and Unemployment.
We are trying to present a solution, up to our level of understanding and intelligence!
3. SOLUTION: This is the flow chart. Explanation later.
Group of
400 youth.
PDS head of a
mandal
PDS head of a
mandal
PDS head of a
mandal
Elected members from each mandal (panchayat heads).
Elected youth by the panchayat heads. (3 to 4 members for each gramam).
4. EXPLANATION :
According to the flow chart, 400 members, mainly youth would be heading this
scheme. The PDS(considered 3 for example), will be established 1 each for a
mandal. PDS will be having 30 to 40 members under it depending on the size of
the mandal. These people are elected members from the gram panchayats. These
people will have 3 to 4 youth members under them for 1 gramam.
These youth members will be visiting all the homes in their respective gramam’ s
and check their condition, and then issue a card named NTF card which would be
possessing the locale NTF no. which is their identification number.
This NTF no. is used for all transactions and also to avail the resources of the
scheme.
The NTF no. is associated with fingerprints of 3 of the family members of the
locale who is issued with this card. So, incase of loss of the ID card the person or
their family members even, can approach for a new card, and it will be issued
instantly at the local NTF branch.
5. The verification is proceeded with careful inspection and the NTF card is issues to only
deserved candidates. The verification is almost done the same way as of the passport
verification. All the youth working for the issuing of the NTF card are literates and all are the
passed out of the +2.
This reduces the misusing of the NTF card which in turn reduces the misuse of the NTF
scheme benefits.
NTF scheme provides:
1. Food having the nutrients above required.
2. Depending on the no.of family members, quantity varies, but difference in quantity is only
limited to only a 5 member family. (3 children + mother + father).
3. 2 or 3 Environmentalists provided to each gramam, depending on the population.
4. 1 rmp doctor per each gramam.
Environmentalists are provided (2 or 3) for each gramam depending on the population of that
gramam. These environmentalists make the farmers aware of what crops must be grown in what
seasons, and what are the precautions to be followed to reduce the disasters(man-made only)
that can occur to the farms.
Every farmer must approach and seek their permission prior of availing the subsidies for the
farms. The environmentalist must permit the farmers before they can avail the subsidies.
6. The environmentalists, are all youth and are well-educated. Environmentalists are also
responsible for the collection of all the cultivated products from the farmers for selling to the
government.(this would be discussed later).
A rmp medical practitioner: He/she is an educated youth. These are provided 1 for each
gramam. They will visit 15 houses per day personally and give below required nutrition values
in the form of medicinal drugs to all members of the family. This is to ensure that, even at a
worst case scenario the people maintain a basic nutrition.
Their job also consists of making all the people aware of the overpopulation of the country,
and the contraceptive measures to be followed by those people to overcome this problem.
As awareness about any thing can be spread much easily among few people rather than among
more number.
Due to the above provided suggestions, the people particularly farmers will be having
knowledge of what they are growing and what are calamities that could happen to them. And,
all the people would be made aware of the family planning which is a huge step in reducing
the over population problem of the country..
The scheme NFT believes strongly in inhibiting the malnutrition in rural areas can flip India
into a super power one day..
7. The scheme NTF would approximately costs Rs. 81,00,00,00,000 for all the gramams.
This fund covers the establishment of the NFT banks and also the wages for the doctors and environmentalists.
And, adding the wages of all the members working and leaving the cost of transportation and resources aside, it
would be approximately Rs.9X10^10.
Solution to earn this huge amount:
The solution to this is only to cycle the money. The government will buy the domestic goods from the
farmers in the gramam or in the mandal (what ever they are, textiles, rice, wheat, etc) and would be in a
1 hand trade with the farmers. The government would be offering the farmers 1 rupee extra than what
private firms are paying and then procure the goods from them .These goods are then sold in the metro’s,
that too in a government store at 20% higher. As, it is 20% less than what private firms are charging the
consumers, people would be buying only from the government.
In this 20%, 10% will be used for the NTF scheme, and rest 10% will be deposited for the government as
a profit. This deposited money can also be used during a disaster.
So, with this the government only requires to put up the capital and then it would having a profit at last
of 10%.
Transaction method:
As already discussed all the transactions are made through NTF cards. The farmers will be depositing
their goods at the environmentalists place and he/she would be taking entries and an amount according
to the fixed rate of the government will be transferred to the farmer’s card instantly.
8. The farmer need to provide the finger prints including the card for the transaction. After the money is
In the card of the farmer, he/she can make that into money through a NTF bank nearby. The farmer
Will also be issued all the special facilities only if he/she has the card.
Therefore , the government is only recycling the money and is not investing any after the capital.
ADVANTAGES OF THE SCHEME :
• Huge employment opportunities are generated for the youth.
• Encouragement of the domestic employees in the rural areas.
• As all the transactions are digital, no chance of mischief.
• The misuse of the facilities provided are reduced due to the strict inspection.
• As the awareness about family planning is indulged on daily basis, it is better understood decreasing the
overpopulation problem.
• Rural people, earn a daily income, also fulfilling their daily food needs, provided by the government have a
strong economic position. Thus reducing POVERTY.
9. CHALLENGES:
• Political challenges.
• Huge capital for the government.
• Proper control of the power all along the chain is difficult.
• Difficulty in understanding the concept.
• Misuse of the power in the lower levels for their own good.
OVERVIEW:
• Strict inspection for issuing the NTF scheme card.
• Transactions are through NTF card only.
• 2-3 environmentalists and 1 RMP medical practitioner are provided to each gramam.
• Control through chain of people.
• Awareness from the root is employed.
• Cycle of money is employed, that too through a single hand trade system.
• Every transaction is digital.
• COMPLETE TRANSPARENCY OF THE SYSTEM IS ENSURED.
• Misuse of the resources is reduced atleast by 10%.
• Banks are established for the transaction processes.
10. CONCLUSION:
This scheme according to us, would not only reduce the malnutrition in our country by
90%, but would also, reduce many of the alarming problems in our country like poverty,
unemployment, overpopulation, lack of encouragement to the domestic workers.
This scheme would ensure that all the poor people can have their stomachs filled, also by
strengthening their economic position. Even though, it appears messy, have some challenges on its
name, but, is the most effective solution(in our view) for this ever-existing malnutrition..
For the development of the country.
