A new model for effective Public Distribution System

2. India is among the top 10 developing countries in the world with a black money
outflow of $1.6 billion ( Rs. 8,720 crore)
A 2012 Asian Development Bank study on
the subsidies offered by India’s Public
Distribution System (PDS) observed that
deserving poor receive only 10% of the
intended benefits; 19% of the subsidy goes to
the non-poor, illegal diversion and
administrative expenses consume 43% and
28% of the same respectively.

3. Advantages over before
State Governments can relax without any leakages There will be no leakages in the funds
Solution to it
Implementing of separate force which will answer only
to the Central Government & Supreme Court of India.
The distribution records of it is submitted & checked
only by the Central Bereau of Investigation (CBI) .
Cause for it
The one whose granting the funds couldnot look for its
effective usuage
Distribution of funds is again a burden for the officials

4. INTAKES OUTCOMES
It will take the funds and criteria of
distribution directly from Central/State
Government.
It will distribute them in that paticular state
or area in view of criteria.
It take the help of the regional District
Collector and Superdent of Police to guide
them in distribution.
It will handover the funds directly to the
Public.

5. Recruitment and Functioning
Retired Economists from each
state will be recuited.
Recuit should me done from each
state so that members will have all
languages covered.
Young people will be an advantage
for this system.
Retired Policeman can also join
for its guidence.
Economists will economise the
money and in fund distribution.
A team with knowledge of all
regional languages will help during
distribution.
The energy of youth is an
advantage.
The will move to the place of its
requirement.
If there will be a situation to
distribute funds in more than one
state then it will divided into reqd
no. of sub groups.

7. Advantages Disadvantages
Employment rate will increase.

to CBI and Supreme Court.

distribution.
It will be shortcut from funds to
Public.
In Every month , there will release
of funds atleast in one state.
