HPM Star is a systemic growth regulator for mango crops that inhibits gibberellin biosynthesis and cell division. It is absorbed through the roots and stems and transported to sub-apical meristems where it controls tree vigor by reducing internodal length and earlier formation of terminal buds. This can positively influence fruit bud production, color, and harvest yield. The recommended dose for mango trees is 6-16 ml per tree depending on the age of the tree.

About the Crop
Mango (Mangifera indica L) is one of the choicest and most ancient fruits known to mankind.
It occupies a pre-eminent place amongst the sub-tropical fruits hence while doing mango

is preserved and we can have high quality mangoes. Mango thrives well up to 600 m above
mean sea level provided locality is frost free and there is no high humidity or rains during
flowering.
A delicious fruit having a wonderful avour and charming fragrance is none
other than mango that we are talking about. This king of fruit is loaded with
high vitamin A and C and therefore, has the great market demand all the year
around. Mango trees are vigorous in nature and require less maintenance
than other commercial fruit tree farming business. Hence, mango cultivation
can be done anywhere, where there is not much humidity in the atmosphere
along with good rainfall and dry atmosphere. But, at the time of owering, low
temperature is essential like winter or monsoon. The fruit is very popular with
the masses due to its wide range of adaptability, high nutritive value, richness
in variety, delicious taste and excellent avour. It is a rich source of vitamin A
and C. The fruit is consumed raw or ripe. Good mango varieties contain 20% of
total soluble sugars. The acid content of ripe desert fruit varies from 0.2 to 0.5
% and protein content is about 1 %. Raw fruits of local varieties of mango
trees are used for preparing various traditional products like raw slices in
brine, amchur, pickle, murabba, chutney, panhe (sharabat) etc. Presently, the
raw fruit of local varieties of mango are used for preparing pickle and raw
slices in brine on commercial scale while fruits of Alphonso variety are used
for squash in coastal western zone. The wood is used as timber, and dried
twigs are used for religious purposes. The mango kernel also contains about
8-10% good quality fat which can be used for saponi cation. Its starch is used
in confectionery industry.
