Deltamethrin is a non-systemic synthetic
pyrethroid insecticide with contact and
stomach action. Like all pyrethroids
prevents the sodium channels from
functioning, so that no transmission of
nerve impulses can take place.
Buprofezin Acts by inhibiting chitin
biosynthesis and subsequent cuticle
deposition. It also has effects on the
hormone levels of nymphs associated
with moulting and on prostaglandin
synthesis.
The deltamethrin in it is a potent
insecticide effective by contact
and ingestion against a wide
range of pests. The buprofezin in
it has persistent larvicidal action
against Homoptera, some
Coleoptera and also Acarina.
Deltamethrin is used against
indoor crawling and ying insects,
and pests of stored grain and
timber. Dip or spray and pour-on
applications give good control of
Muscidae, Tabanidae, Ixodidae
and other Acari on cattle, sheep
and pigs etc

BPH can be a problem in rainfed and in irrigated wetland
environments. It also occurs in areas with continuous submerged
conditions in the eld, high shade, and humidity.The feeding
damage caused by planthoppers results in the yellowing of the
plants. At high population density, hopper burn or complete
dryingoftheplantsisobserved.

Leaf roller caterpillars fold a rice leaf
around themselves and attach the leaf
margins together with silk strands. They
feed inside the folded leaf creating
longitudinal white and transparent streaks
on the blade. Heavy use of fertilizer
encourages rapid multiplication of the
insect. High humidity and shady areas of
the eld, as well as the presence of grassy
weeds from rice elds and surrounding
borders favor the development of the
pest.
