The document discusses the importance of Second Amendment rights in America. It makes three key points:
1) The Second Amendment gives Americans the fundamental right to self-defense and hunting, which were necessities historically. While modern conveniences have reduced the need to hunt for food, the right is still important.
2) The Second Amendment does not specify how guns can be used or where they can be carried, leaving interpretation of these freedoms up to individuals.
3) The freedoms guaranteed by the Second Amendment, including self-defense and hunting, were critical to survival in America's early history. Too much blood has been shed to protect these rights to now diminish them with gun control laws.

The second amendment hunting or self defense
1. Second Amendment Rights
Fundamental To Being An American
The second amendment gives all Americans the right to keep and bear arms. Second amendment rights are fundamental to the rights
enjoyed by all Americans: the right to have a means of self defense and the ability to secure food from the wild. Fast food restaurants and
modern conveniences have taken away the necessity to be able to hunt down lunch and cook it on an open fire. Historically, there was not
a Big Mac on every corner and individuals had to be more resourceful to find lunch.
Second Amendment rights and freedom can be loosely construed
The Second Amendment doesn’t distinguish between permissible uses of the guns,.where the guns may be carried, or the actual intent of
the gun owners. The U.S. Constitution leaves that up to individual interpretation by the citizens. Because the founders of this country left
the details incomplete, it appears that citizens are to interpret that freedom for the good of all.
Second Amendment freedoms are guaranteed
The freedoms so highly treasured by Americans were borne of the freedoms
guaranteed by the Second Amendment. Freedom was bought back in the colonial days
at a high price, and the founding fathers were hesitant to take away the privilege to
hunt for food or act in self-defense. It is now hard to conceive of the daily threat that
settlers faced from wild animals or even other humans. The early inhabitants of the
United States faced the constant threat of starvation or ambush by another person
who wanted to get what wasn’t his. Society was more lawless and less civilized in the
past. Citizens today have to acknowledge that If the government tries to take away
that basic freedom upon which America was founded, that will potentially diminish to
the rest of Americans’ hard-won liberties.
Citizens have to maintain a difficult balancing act to maintain Second Amendment rights in the face of modern concerns.
Using the Second Amendment to enable hunters to enjoy their recreation or to allow an individual to act in self-defense is more in keeping
with the spirit of our founding fathers and the early American government. Considering the issue historically, there is precedent for allowing
both uses to coexist under the guise of Second Amendment rights.. To diminish the freedoms granted by Second Amendment rights would
be to erase the fundamental freedoms for which the country stands. Too much blood was shed to give up on these rights. Gun control is
one thing; abridging the Second Amendment right to have and use guns is an entirely different matter.
