Dr. Ikram Ur Rahman has over 30 years of experience in sustainable development, natural resource management, and community development. He has a Pharm-D degree and has worked on numerous projects in Pakistan related to medicinal plants, rural development, water and sanitation, and public health. His roles have included developing training programs, conducting research, and managing field operations. He has strong communication skills in multiple languages and extensive experience building partnerships across sectors.

5. Worked as Manager Quality Control Operations in M/s Convell Labs International Saidu Sharif
Swat. ( 2009 to 2013)
Responsibilities:
Developed quality control specification for quality evaluation of products under Pharmacopoeias
standards and WHO guidelines.
Developed products formulation catalogue with manufacturing guidelines.
Trained the quality control and production staff on the principles of cGMP.
Developed a curriculum for the quality assurance procedures needed during product
formulation.

7. Worked as consultant with IUCN in mountain areas conservancy project (MACP) funded by
UNDP, GEF, GoP and wild life department Government of KP in Swat and Chitral
conservancies. Worked as consultant with the Ministry of Environment GoP in the follow-up
program (PMAC) of the above project. (2000-2002)
Responsibilities:
Conducted project staff ToT for capacity building on naturally occurring medicinal and aromatic
plants (MSPs) in Swat and Chitral.
Trained 1200 community development groups in Swat and Chitral for sustainable harvesting,
value addition and entrepreneurship development in MAPs sector.
Developed technical Manuals for MAPs product development in Urdu and English.
Provided seasonal harvesting calendar for collectors.
Assisted in arranging technical workshops, meeting and seminars between the project
management and line departments.

In PMAC carried out standardization of 24 species of medicinal & Aromatic plants in PCSIR lab
Peshawar.
8. Worked as consultant with SDC-IC on exploration of medicinal flora of Malakand Division
under PHP project. (1998-1999)
Responsibilities:
Arranged initial workshop of stakeholders at Agriculture Research Station (North) Mingora Swat.
Developed questionnaire for the survey in consultation with foreign consultant team member.
Worked as a team leader during survey of MAPs in Swat, Buner and Chitral forest range.
