Firefighting:
 Flour Bluff ESD #2 Fire Department – (2012 – 2013) Responded to grass and brush
fires in the Coastal Bend, Corpus Christi and local counties. Attached to Rescue Boat
92 for open water rescues, search & rescue, distressed boaters and drowning’s in
Corpus Christi, Padre Island and the Gulf of Mexico.
 Assisted in the upkeep of Emergency Vehicles and equipment located on six
emergency vehicles/ apparatus.
 Responded to vehicle accidents, roll-over’s and confined space rescues.
 Assisted in mutual aids with Corpus Christi Fire Department, Annaville Fire
Department., Naval - Air Station Corpus Christi Fire Department and other volunteer
fire departments.
 Maintained Firefighting systems and life-saving equipment.
 Familiar with Halon, CO2 systems, AFFF, APC systems and various sprinkler
systems.
 Maintained and repaired all Scott SCBA’s on ship and air pressure refill stations.
 Gained proficiencies and experience in: firefighter and first-responder tactics,
damage control and CBR Warfare defense.
 Training of shipboard personnel, search and rescue, fire investigations and operation
of fire equipment/systems/lifesaving equipment.
 Selected for Team Leader of ships elite firefighting team, detail provided protection
for ships equipment and crew during ships operations.
 Selected as duty section Fire Marshall, fire prevention and fire tactics/management
training specialist.
 Accomplished 1,000 plus post atmospheric testing of voids, tanks and post fire
atmospheres. Instructor at Naval Firefighter School (2010)
 Taught basic and advanced shipboard firefighting.
 Trained and certified Philippine Navy in shipboard firefighting tactics and procedures.
