Firefighting:
Flour Bluff ESD #2 Fire Department – (2012 – 2013) Responded to grass and brush
fires in the Coastal Bend, Corpus Christi and local counties. Attached to Rescue Boat
92 for open water rescues, search & rescue, distressed boaters and drowning’s in
Corpus Christi, Padre Island and the Gulf of Mexico.
Assisted in the upkeep of Emergency Vehicles and equipment located on six
emergency vehicles/ apparatus.
Responded to vehicle accidents, roll-over’s and confined space rescues.
Assisted in mutual aids with Corpus Christi Fire Department, Annaville Fire
Department., Naval - Air Station Corpus Christi Fire Department and other volunteer
fire departments.
Maintained Firefighting systems and life-saving equipment.
Familiar with Halon, CO2 systems, AFFF, APC systems and various sprinkler
systems.
Maintained and repaired all Scott SCBA’s on ship and air pressure refill stations.
