高劍父此圖極具創新精神，繪畫十三個月亮投影於水流波光之中，靈動掩
映，打破畫面時空限制。圖上方描繪松枝松實垂向月影流光，筆觸蒼莽老
辣，濃墨粗筆，富於書法意味，為其接近晚年的代表風格。原作於1935年
於柏林美術館展出，更為德國政府收藏，可見高氏已備受國際重視。此圖
雖為原作稿本，但非常接近原蹟，可視為完熟作品畫本。
Gao Jianfu fully shows his innovative spirit in this painting. He painted
thirteen moon reflections in water. Subtle and full of life, they demonstrate
a breakthrough of spatial constraint and time. In the top right, pine
branches hanging over the water with moon reflections below depicted with
forceful and free brushwork with thick ink tones, revealing the modulation
of calligraphic aesthetics, as well as reflecting the representative painting
style of his late period. The original piece was exhibited in an art museum
in Berlin in 1935, then collected by the German government, showing that
Gao was highly recognized in the international art scene. This painting is an
uncompleted work, but very close to a completed piece and can be taken as
a consummate mature work of the artist.
