- Our approach… When I was in Kenya, we stayed at dorms – ate with local staff, woke up early to play with preschoolers who came to school from the neighboring slum area. We sang, danced, and dealt with the reality of power outages. - Our goal is to reach 30k over next 3 yrs. Completed kenya in May with 11 volunteers, most of whom are here tonight. (Raise hands) Kenya focused on primary school. Just kicked off planning for Tanzania project in November, working with World Vision to expand community knowledge centers to 12 new schools. During the day, it will serve school students. In the evenings, they become centers for local youth to explore entreprenreurship and create tech centered businesses. VMWare Foundation to expand to 5new orphanages & more efficient remote DT mgmt using Vmware solutions.
