Haqooq Ul Ibad
Importance of haqooq ul ibad in Islam
The difference between Islam and other religions is that they are limit to worship only, while Islam is a complete discipline of life and that is why it
demands total submission.
Allah Almighty said that, "embrace islam completely."
Our Holy Qur'an was revelaed to us for our guidance with Man as its Subject... With this blessing to mankind, we Muslims have been invited to the
right path... Allah (swt) said "Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in

In Islamic terms "Silah–Rahimi" is used to denote good treatment towards relatives. In a social life a man mostly deal with his relatives after the
member of his family. In the Holy Quran as well as in the Hadiths decent treatment with relatives has been repeatedly emphasised. Allah Almighty says
in the Holy Quran
"And provide to the relatives their due rights "
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has said
"Whoever violates the rights of relatives shall not go to paradise."
Rights of Orphan
In the Islamic faith, all children have the right to be clothed fed and protected until they are adults, to receive love and affection from their parents.
These rights don't end when children become orphans, whose caregivers are primarily responsible for protecting orphans. The Qur'an clearly sets a tone
for the treatment of orphans in Islam:
"Treat not the orphan with harshness" (Qur'an 93:9)
If an orphan is wealthy, an orphan's guardian is responsible for protecting the orphan's inheritance until the orphan is legally able to assume control of
it himself. The adoptive family is not allowed to combine an orphan's property or wealth with its own:
"Give orphans their property, and do not substitute bad

Eid : The Magical Holiday Of Muslims
Eid:The magical holiday of muslims A blanket of snow envelops the ground. Bright lights are strung up on houses and laughter and cheers are
heard everywhere. Silhouettes of people sipping hot chocolate can be seen from outside. A perfect fairytale Christmas! *change of scenery* Men
and women dressed up in their best clothes have rushed to the mosque so that they could be in time to attend the Eid Prayer. Not long after the Eid
Prayer is completed, the shouts of Eid Mubarak can be heard ringing through the halls or outside in the open air. Eid is a holiday celebrated by
Muslims. Unlike any other holiday, Eid is celebrated twice at different times of the year and also for different purpose Both Eids are for 3 days,

On Eid al–Adha, Muslims all around the world sacrifice animals in the name of God. The International Business Times states, "A third of the
animal's meat is then distributed to the poor with the rest distributed to family and friends." Some people spend the rest of the day just relaxing
and spending time with family and close friends while others enjoy their time at parties. THE QUESTIONS (starring Hafsa Aleem and Aisha
Patni) What does Eid mean to you?Hafsa: It means candy, money, parties, and fancy clothes. Two boys hug each other after the Eid Prayer. Aisha:
To me Eid means being able to get together with family and friends and celebrate a special day! In your own words, describe Eid. Hafsa: Eid is so fun,
it is the time where you reunite with old friends and celebrate with lots of candy and food and happiness. Aisha: Eid is basically at the end of the
month Ramadan (the month of fasting). You are not supposed to fast on this day. Instead, after praying the special Eid prayer at the mosque in the
morning, you attend parties to celebrate and eat good food! How do you feel the days before Eid? The day of Eid? Hafsa: I feel terrible because I'm
fasting. On Eid I usually feel terrible because I don't know. But I feel happy when I see my friends and family. Aisha: The days before Eid, I feel
hungry, because I fast, but the day of Eid I'm always excited! Are there any traditional stuff you do on Eid? If so, what are they? Hafsa: I wake up and

Ernest Rutherford was a New Zealand born British physicist who is famously known for "splitting the atom." His work on the gold foil experiment
contributed greatly to the model of the atom and helped develop the standard model of the atom to what we now use today. Without his contributions
we would still be using the Plum Pudding model, an out dated and incorrect model, and we would have less of an understanding of how atoms form
the world around us.
Before Rutherford's Geiger–Marsden experiment the most popular model of the atom was the "plum pudding model" developed in 1904 by the person
who also discovered the electron in 1897, J.J. Thompson. It was the most common model of the atom and stated that electrons (plum) floated around

He positioned a variety of metal foil in the route of the alpha rays, including gold, silver, tin, copper and aluminium (at different times) to observe
whether the flashes of light moved, spread out, or changed at all. He found that as the various metals disrupted the paths of the rays the flashes
become more spread out. This result indicated that alpha particles were being deflected as they passed through the metals. Rutherford wanted to
know if alpha particles could be deflected at a larger angle, as the current tool developed by Geiger could only measure deflection of up to a few angles.
Geiger was joined by Ernest Marsden to create a new instrument to detect whether alpha particles could be deflected at greater angles. This device
was different from the previous in the way that the gold foil and radium were both inside a metal cylinder, which was fixed to a swivel. The
microscope attached penetrated the wall of the cylinder. The lens of the microscope was covered in a zinc sulphide screen and the microscope could be
moved in a full circle around the foil so Geiger could tally the flashes of light from every possible angle. He observed alpha particles deflecting by as
much as 150В°.
The results of this experiment proved the plum pudding model of the atom to be incorrect as some of the alpha particles (helium atoms) deflected
meaning the atom has a dense centre of positive charge. Particles either hit the positive

Eid Al-Adha Essay
How to Celebrate Eid Al–Adha Eid Al–Adha, an Arabic term meaning "the feast of sacrifice", is one of the prominent and holy days of Islamic
celebration that takes place annually. Eid Al–Adha celebration begins after the leaving of the pilgrims performing the Hajj the Mount Arafat, a hill east
of Mecca. All Muslims around the world celebrate Eid Al–Adha to show respect to the willingness of Abraham, the Muslims' prophet. In Afghanistan,
Muslims celebrate Eid Al–Adha in various ways. Mostly, their customs and traditions are based on three performances through all the Eid days; that
is, Morning Prayer, Family and Relatives Eid greetings. Each of the above performances has its own special way and time to be performed. The
examples show that in addition to having dependency and faith to Islamic customs, Afghanistan has its own special independent tradition of the
celebrating Eid Al–Adha. As soon as the sun rises in the first day of Eid Al–Adha, Afghans get ready for the first performance which consist of
Morning Prayer and sacrifice. Firstly men, elders of Afghan families, try to perform Vozo, an Arabic

they greet these families first, is to show condolences even in the Eid Al–Adha day, the day of happiness. Then people choose where to go based on
their desires, this process will continue until the end of the first Eid day. In short, celebrating Eid Al–Adha is different in Afghanistan from other
Islamic countries. Therefore, people who do not live in Afghanistan come back to their country to celebrate Eid in their own tradition and hometown.
Moreover, different ethnicities in Afghanistan mostly have similar traditions and may have some minor differences from each

Eid ul Adha (Holiday)
The holiday I choose is a Islamic holiday called Eid al adha. Eid al adha is very well known around the world. Eid al Adha means festival of sacrifice.
Eid al adha marks the completion of the annual Hajj, the pilgrimage to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. During the festival of Eid al adha, all
Muslims celebrate Ibrahim's trial by slaughtering an animal such as cow, sheep, camel, or goat. Eid al–Fitr is holiday that follows the month of
Ramadan. The three–day Islamic holiday of Eid al–Fitr, celebrates the end of Ramadan, the Muslims holy month during which individuals fast from
sunrise to sunset. Eid al–Adha is very important holiday to Muslims like Christian is to Charismas.
Islam all over the world celebrates only two big holidays...show more content...
The meat is distributed during the days of the holiday or shortly thereafter. A sense of generosity and gratitude colors these festivities. Each Muslim
family is encouraged to sacrifice an animal and split it in three and one –third for the needy, one–third for friends and family and one–third for
themselves.
The Pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five pillars of Islam. Going to Hajj at least once in his or her lifetime is mandatory by Muslim if he or she can
afford it. The Hajj happens after the month of Ramadan. Muslims from all over the world, including the United States, travel to Makkah in
Saudi Arabia. The Hajj is designed to develop God awareness and a sense of spiritual up liftment. It is also believed to be an opportunity to seek
forgiveness of sins accumulated throughout life. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had said that a person who performs Hajj properly "will
return as a newly born baby free of all sins." The pilgrimage also enables Muslims from all around the world, of different colors, languages, races, and
ethnicities, to come together in a spirit of universal brotherhood and sisterhood to worship the One God together.
Eid Al Adha is a holiday that is celebrated everywhere in the world and it is not well known here in the United State. Most Americans are clueless
about holidays of other countries. Celebration of Eid is podcasted in TV about two minutes and that is not enough time to educate many people who

Reflection Paper On Adulthood
Reading Chapter 1 on Adulthood, and looking at my peer responses and comparing them to mine, made me realize that becoming an adult is more on
feeling, and responsibilities then and actual age. What I mean by responsibilities is it seems like in everyone's response for question two dealt with
responsibilities and that's how someone knows they became an adult. Reading my peer responses made me realize that many of us think the same way
but, others don't which is completely fine because people who think differently makes things interesting. Makes me look at why I think the way I do.
Does all these factors make a person an adult chorological, psychological, and social age. Everyone in the class agreed chorological age is the years
you have been alive. The government says age 18 makes a person an adult, but should psychological and social age matter in the determination
/criteria of an adult. I think that a person's chorological, psychological, and social age can be all different ages. I know I said my chorological age was
23, psychological age in early 20's and social age is late teens.
I'm not the only one that thinks their chorological, psychological and social ages are all different. Morgan McReynolds said her chorological age is
20, psychological age is 23–24 and social age 17. Seeing Morgan's made me not feel alone with how I feel about it because compared to our peers we
thought each one of our "ages" were different. A lot of our peers thought they were almost right on the same ages for chorological, psychological and
social age. But I would say it seemed like a lot of my peers thought their psychological age was higher than the other two age groups. Which I find it
extremely interesting, I know all of this is self–examining but I wonder if a professional evaluated each of us would they could up with the same ages
as we did for the psychological and social ages.
What makes a person an adult? Age? I don't think age makes you an adult, government says that when a person turns the chorological age of
18–years–old they are considered an adult. But, in Chapter 1, it says that most people don't become an adult until their 20's. So, why does the
government insist that people are an adult at the age of 18. I

The Magnitude of Ramadan Essay
The Five Pillars of Islam are the framework of Islamic life. First off, a Muslim must have faith in Allah and believe that there is only one Allah and
Muhammad is His messenger. Next, a Muslim has the duty to pray five times each day, which is considered to be a direct link between him and Allah.
Third, a Muslim must distribute alms and help the needy. Fourth, a Muslim is responsible to keep the Fast of Ramadan. Lastly, a Muslim is obligated
to make a pilgrimage to Mecca in his lifetime. Most non– Islamic people do not know why these pillars are so important to the Islamic religion. One of
the most questioned, is the fourth pillar, since fasting symbolizes such different things in all religions. In Judaism and Christianity fasting is...show more

It is very significant that a Muslim spends a lot time with his family and friends, throughout this month, and realizes what is truly important in his life.
Many more Muslims attend Mosques during Ramadan because they believe that Allah will help them understand the essentials of life.
Throughout Ramadan all Muslims are strictly obligated to pray five times each day and, in addition, attend Mosque and have a nightly prayer, called
Taraween, which is two to three times as long as the usual daily prayers. Along with praying, Muslims celebrate significant days in the month. "On the
evening of the 27th day of the month, Muslims celebrate the Laylat–al–Qadr (the Night of Power)" (Zahid). This night is
Jafari 3 celebrated because it is believed by all Muslims that it was the night that Muhammad first received the revelation of the Quran and the night
when Allah determines the future of the world for the next year. By celebrating nights like this along with praying at home and in a Mosque, a Muslim
becomes much closer to Allah and in return gets to know their own identity much better. Reading out of the Quran and worshipping Allah is one of the
most important things to do during the Fast of Ramadan.
Along with gaining self discipline,

My Experience To The Library
Experience at the Library
The library is a wonderful place to go to if you would like a quiet place to work. I like being at the library because it is filled with knowledge, and there
are many different books that interest me. I enjoy going to the library because walking there clears my mind. Also, there are many books that are
available for the public to read and it is a quiet place to do work. To start, the walk to the library is relaxing and peaceful. I decided to go to the library
on September 21st for a college assignment. While walking to the library I was intrigued by the many things that were going on around me. I saw a
mailman riding on a bicycle delivering mail which was something that I've never seen before. Also, something that was very surprising to me was that
there was a group of children running behind an ice–cream truck which was a single block in front of me. I found this very amusing and I continued to
watch until they were out of sight. It made me think about when I was little and what I used to do when I heard the ice cream truck come around
my house. After walking for quite a bit of time I began to feel tired and dehydrated. I began to wish I had chased after the ice cream truck and got an
ice cream to it, but it was gone already. I normally don't walk to the library so I guess that was the reason I was so easily tired. I decided to buy a drink
from the local corner store to regain some of my energy. The library is home to knowledge which is why it

My First Ramadan Experience
My First Ramadan Experience "Greetings! We inform you that the Ramadan moon sighting wait has ended and the first fast for the following

for the start of the holy month. I questioned eagerly, "Mom, can I please fast?" I'm nine years old now. "Honey, fasting is a day

Also, it is more than not eating or drinking anything." It took a long time for me to satisfy my mom; however, I was allowed to start my first fast.
Furthermore, my first Ramadan experience taught me more than not eating or drinking for a religious value; in fact, it disclosed me to a book of
principles to live by, making family unity, patience and consistency, and respect and contribution a part of my individuality.
It was overwhelming for me to see the whole family together, crowded around the television, possessing the same amount of excitement. "The US
will be starting their fast at the start of sunrise", stated the man. I had fallen asleep, listening to the news. Next thing I knew, I awoke to the sounds of
my mom making our special breakfast specials, consisting of 'Halwa', 'Parathas', eggs, and tea; it was time for 'Sehri', the

Utilitarianism And Identity Theft
Have you ever wondered heard about "identity theft"? Well, the video describes how people's credit cards' numbers are being stolen by identity
thieves using various methods, such as "Skimming". In this method, the thief swipes the credit card through a small electronic device. In fact, this
method can happen anywhere like in gas stations and restaurants. Body: One of the major concepts that was conveyed during the lecture was
"Kantianism", where cat 1 identifies the action of stealing identity as a very immoral action, and is also immoral as a universal moral. Since cat 1 is
unethical, then cat 2 is also immoral. On the other hand, "utilitarianism" usually comes as in an activity that has bad consequences on people.

In the building across the street, with the pink windows and the mosque behind it, families were visiting each other in their newly bought clothes and

True, Jesus' (As) birth is a belief amongst Muslims, but so is the sacrificial symbol of the Adha a belief amongst the Christians and other religions in
the world. Why can't all cultures adopt the Islamic tradition of gifting children with new clothes and taking them out to restaurants and amusement
parks? The government does not encourage Eid as much as it allows public places to be enveloped in Christmas decorations. In France, the Arab
communities hold visitations and share in Islamic customs within their brotherhood, whilst around them Christmas carols are sung and the city is
embellished in tinsel and goblins, awaiting the arrival of "Santa Claus", or in their terms "Pere Noel." In Dubai, much like Abu Dhabi, hotels and
restaurants have special Christmas luncheons. Shops and Malls give away special offers during the 'Festive Season'. There is yet to be established an
Eid theme blanketing the cities where Islam is the religion of base, like that of Christmas. What is even more upsetting is that Christmas is in itself
less religious and more commercial than it was 500 years ago. Christmas has a face, a figure one can imagine when thinking of the Holiday: a jolly
man, with a red suit and a white beard. He did not always look like this. "Santa Claus" acquired his red suit and the big belly through a Coca Cola
advertisement in 1931. His image changed, distorted almost, into what we know now as "Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!"

The community nurses had actively encouraged Mrs. Smith to re–establish social interactions with old friends. However, Young (2005) observed that
patients can interpret this type of encouragement as a lack of understanding by nurses of the effect that their condition is having on their life. Wilkes et
al (2003) conducted a qualitative study on the effect of malodour on nurses and found that adverse feelings such as nausea were common. However,
nurses hide these emotions from their patients to protect the patients' feelings.
The community nurses decided that they needed to talk to Mrs. Smith about the odour and involve her in selecting a dressing product that was
designed to alleviate or reduce the problem. The assessment identified that the wound was infected with beta–haemolytic streptococci and
Staphylococcus aureus and a two–week course of systemic antibiotics was prescribed.
Wound odour is often a complication of bacterial infection and the presence of infection explained why Mrs. Smith had experienced a worsening of
the odour in recent weeks (Hack, 2003).
Odour is subjective and is difficult to quantify accurately (de Laat et al, 2005). The wound assessment tool we used incorporates a crude odour tick

Eid-Ul-Fitr
Eid ul–Fitr (Arabic: Ш№ЩЉШЇ Ш§Щ„ЩЃШ·Ш± 'ДЄdu l–Fiб№r‎), often abbreviated to Eid, is a three–day Muslim holiday that marks the end
of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiб№r means "conclusion of the fast"; and so
the holiday celebrates the conclusion of the thirty days of dawn–to–sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The first day of Eid, therefore,
falls on the first day of the month Shawwal. Eid–ul–Fitr Salat (Namaz in Urdu/Persian) is a Wajib (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) or

This is how Eid–Ul–Fitr was born. This three–day long celebration ends the ninth month and begins the tenth month of Shawwal with absolute

bring oneself back to the normal course of life after a month–long period of self–denial and religious devotion. [edit] General rituals Common greetings
during this holiday are the Arabic greeting 'Eid MubДЃrak ("Blessed Eid") or 'Eid Sa'eed ("Happy Eid"). In addition, many countries have their own
greetings based on local language and traditions – in Turkey, for example, a typical saying might be BayramД±nД±z kutlu olsun or "May your Bayram

What is Faith? Essay
What is faith? Faith is something different to everyone. If you asked a hundred different people, it is possible that you would get many diverse
answers. Religious faith and non–religious faith are two very distinct terms. Faith holds an extremely complex meaning when discussing it in the
context of religion. Faith is a belief. That holds true to every religious and non–religious person. Every faith involves a decision. It is not about what we
claim to believe, but what we actually do believe, that is true faith. Throughout this paper, I am going to discuss Christian faith, how it pertains to
daily life and Christianity as a whole. I also intend to delve into George W. Forell's discussion of Christian faith and analyze and...show more content...
You can not have religion without faith. George W. Forell states that "faith is universal," (Forell 1). By this Forell is saying that everyone has some
sort of belief, they believe in something or somebody. Forell is not limiting this belief to God, or gods for that matter, he simply means that all humans
believe in something– money, or education, or the general goodness of mankind. Forell goes on to also describe Christian faith; "Classical
Protestantism asserts that God wants fellowship with man and that if we trust completely in Jesus Christ and his work we will have communion with
God. This complete and utter trust in Jesus Christ is faith," (Forell 19). I tend to side with George W. Forell and his explanation of Christian faith.
Christian faith has an implication of love. It is strictly a personal act. The "agape" that exists between the lord and all of his creations is manifested
into each religion's faith. This agape is the respect, connection, and intellectual virtue that exist between men and women and their belief in God. Faith
can also be thought of as a perception. It is not a conclusion or a proof; "it is not an explanation of the world, an argument from causality, an
apologetic of creation," (Chenu 2). Faith is neither black or

Eid-Ul-Fitr Celebration Speech
Waking up that early in the morning is bad enough... but waking up to take a freezing cold shower? Insanity is the word. I mean, sure, you wait for
an entire month (give or take a day) for that very occasion. Expensive clothes are purchased, tantalising dishes are made and stocked away in the fridge
and wallets/purses are emptied for the influx of more green stuff. Yeah, that's right. It's none other than Eid–ul–Fitr. Not to insult the religion or anyone,
sometimes one thinks that as time goes on even a simple, enjoyable occasion like this can get bogged down with too many... um... attachments. That
begs the question: are there too many strings attached in order to make Eid–ul–Fitr a truly joyous celebration? Firstly, there's the unnecessary task of

Haqooq Ul Ibad

  • 1. Haqooq Ul Ibad Importance of haqooq ul ibad in Islam The difference between Islam and other religions is that they are limit to worship only, while Islam is a complete discipline of life and that is why it demands total submission. Allah Almighty said that, "embrace islam completely." Our Holy Qur'an was revelaed to us for our guidance with Man as its Subject... With this blessing to mankind, we Muslims have been invited to the right path... Allah (swt) said "Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah... Surah Al–Imran: 110) Haqooq ul Allah and Haqooq ul Ibaad are the two most important aspects in a life of a Muslim to complete his Faith. Haqooq Ul Ibaad is the duty we ...show more content... In Islamic terms "Silah–Rahimi" is used to denote good treatment towards relatives. In a social life a man mostly deal with his relatives after the member of his family. In the Holy Quran as well as in the Hadiths decent treatment with relatives has been repeatedly emphasised. Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran "And provide to the relatives their due rights " The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has said "Whoever violates the rights of relatives shall not go to paradise." Rights of Orphan In the Islamic faith, all children have the right to be clothed fed and protected until they are adults, to receive love and affection from their parents. These rights don't end when children become orphans, whose caregivers are primarily responsible for protecting orphans. The Qur'an clearly sets a tone for the treatment of orphans in Islam: "Treat not the orphan with harshness" (Qur'an 93:9) If an orphan is wealthy, an orphan's guardian is responsible for protecting the orphan's inheritance until the orphan is legally able to assume control of it himself. The adoptive family is not allowed to combine an orphan's property or wealth with its own:

Bright lights are strung up on houses and laughter and cheers are heard everywhere. Silhouettes of people sipping hot chocolate can be seen from outside. A perfect fairytale Christmas! *change of scenery* Men and women dressed up in their best clothes have rushed to the mosque so that they could be in time to attend the Eid Prayer. Not long after the Eid Prayer is completed, the shouts of Eid Mubarak can be heard ringing through the halls or outside in the open air. Eid is a holiday celebrated by Muslims. Unlike any other holiday, Eid is celebrated twice at different times of the year and also for different purpose Both Eids are for 3 days, although many people...show more content... On Eid al–Adha, Muslims all around the world sacrifice animals in the name of God. The International Business Times states, "A third of the animal's meat is then distributed to the poor with the rest distributed to family and friends." Some people spend the rest of the day just relaxing and spending time with family and close friends while others enjoy their time at parties. THE QUESTIONS (starring Hafsa Aleem and Aisha Patni) What does Eid mean to you?Hafsa: It means candy, money, parties, and fancy clothes. Two boys hug each other after the Eid Prayer. Aisha: To me Eid means being able to get together with family and friends and celebrate a special day! In your own words, describe Eid. Hafsa: Eid is so fun, it is the time where you reunite with old friends and celebrate with lots of candy and food and happiness. Aisha: Eid is basically at the end of the month Ramadan (the month of fasting). You are not supposed to fast on this day. Instead, after praying the special Eid prayer at the mosque in the morning, you attend parties to celebrate and eat good food! How do you feel the days before Eid? The day of Eid? Hafsa: I feel terrible because I'm fasting. On Eid I usually feel terrible because I don't know. But I feel happy when I see my friends and family. Aisha: The days before Eid, I feel hungry, because I fast, but the day of Eid I'm always excited! Are there any traditional stuff you do on Eid? If so, what are they? • 4. Ernest Rutherford was a New Zealand born British physicist who is famously known for "splitting the atom." His work on the gold foil experiment contributed greatly to the model of the atom and helped develop the standard model of the atom to what we now use today. Without his contributions we would still be using the Plum Pudding model, an out dated and incorrect model, and we would have less of an understanding of how atoms form the world around us. Before Rutherford's Geiger–Marsden experiment the most popular model of the atom was the "plum pudding model" developed in 1904 by the person who also discovered the electron in 1897, J.J. Thompson. It was the most common model of the atom and stated that electrons (plum) floated around with...show more content... He positioned a variety of metal foil in the route of the alpha rays, including gold, silver, tin, copper and aluminium (at different times) to observe whether the flashes of light moved, spread out, or changed at all. He found that as the various metals disrupted the paths of the rays the flashes become more spread out. This result indicated that alpha particles were being deflected as they passed through the metals. Rutherford wanted to know if alpha particles could be deflected at a larger angle, as the current tool developed by Geiger could only measure deflection of up to a few angles. Geiger was joined by Ernest Marsden to create a new instrument to detect whether alpha particles could be deflected at greater angles. This device was different from the previous in the way that the gold foil and radium were both inside a metal cylinder, which was fixed to a swivel. The microscope attached penetrated the wall of the cylinder. The lens of the microscope was covered in a zinc sulphide screen and the microscope could be moved in a full circle around the foil so Geiger could tally the flashes of light from every possible angle. He observed alpha particles deflecting by as much as 150В°. The results of this experiment proved the plum pudding model of the atom to be incorrect as some of the alpha particles (helium atoms) deflected meaning the atom has a dense centre of positive charge. Particles either hit the positive Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I already made my christmas list which include this: Iphone 8 plus Soccer cleats Soccerball I'm 13 years old, so I surely know that Santa doesn't exist (sorry for destroying yalls hope). My older brother and I been knew that our parents buy the presents and leaves it under the tree so they can make it look like santa came. Though my little baby brother doesn't know that so let's make him think that. But we also don't want our parents to know that we know that they are the ones who bring the presents so we keep that lowkey. But woooohh let me tell yall the day we actually did believe it was Santa. So it was Christmas Eve and my brothers and I knew we would have presents in the morning. That night we decide to sleep early around 9:00 p.m. I went to my room and fell asleep. Though I woke up to ANdres coming in my room screaming "KIMMM!!" So my first instinct was to scream too. • 6. Eid Al-Adha Essay How to Celebrate Eid Al–Adha Eid Al–Adha, an Arabic term meaning "the feast of sacrifice", is one of the prominent and holy days of Islamic celebration that takes place annually. Eid Al–Adha celebration begins after the leaving of the pilgrims performing the Hajj the Mount Arafat, a hill east of Mecca. All Muslims around the world celebrate Eid Al–Adha to show respect to the willingness of Abraham, the Muslims' prophet. In Afghanistan, Muslims celebrate Eid Al–Adha in various ways. Mostly, their customs and traditions are based on three performances through all the Eid days; that is, Morning Prayer, Family and Relatives Eid greetings. Each of the above performances has its own special way and time to be performed. The examples show that in addition to having dependency and faith to Islamic customs, Afghanistan has its own special independent tradition of the celebrating Eid Al–Adha. As soon as the sun rises in the first day of Eid Al–Adha, Afghans get ready for the first performance which consist of Morning Prayer and sacrifice. Firstly men, elders of Afghan families, try to perform Vozo, an Arabic ...show more content... On the first day of Eid, people visit their relatives, but visiting families that have sorrow from the death of a loved one comes first. The reason why they greet these families first, is to show condolences even in the Eid Al–Adha day, the day of happiness. Then people choose where to go based on their desires, this process will continue until the end of the first Eid day. In short, celebrating Eid Al–Adha is different in Afghanistan from other Islamic countries. Therefore, people who do not live in Afghanistan come back to their country to celebrate Eid in their own tradition and hometown. Moreover, different ethnicities in Afghanistan mostly have similar traditions and may have some minor differences from each Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Eid ul Adha (Holiday) The holiday I choose is a Islamic holiday called Eid al adha. Eid al adha is very well known around the world. Eid al Adha means festival of sacrifice. Eid al adha marks the completion of the annual Hajj, the pilgrimage to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. During the festival of Eid al adha, all Muslims celebrate Ibrahim's trial by slaughtering an animal such as cow, sheep, camel, or goat. Eid al–Fitr is holiday that follows the month of Ramadan. The three–day Islamic holiday of Eid al–Fitr, celebrates the end of Ramadan, the Muslims holy month during which individuals fast from sunrise to sunset. Eid al–Adha is very important holiday to Muslims like Christian is to Charismas. Islam all over the world celebrates only two big holidays...show more content... The meat is distributed during the days of the holiday or shortly thereafter. A sense of generosity and gratitude colors these festivities. Each Muslim family is encouraged to sacrifice an animal and split it in three and one –third for the needy, one–third for friends and family and one–third for themselves. The Pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five pillars of Islam. Going to Hajj at least once in his or her lifetime is mandatory by Muslim if he or she can afford it. The Hajj happens after the month of Ramadan. Muslims from all over the world, including the United States, travel to Makkah in Saudi Arabia. The Hajj is designed to develop God awareness and a sense of spiritual up liftment. It is also believed to be an opportunity to seek forgiveness of sins accumulated throughout life. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had said that a person who performs Hajj properly "will return as a newly born baby free of all sins." The pilgrimage also enables Muslims from all around the world, of different colors, languages, races, and ethnicities, to come together in a spirit of universal brotherhood and sisterhood to worship the One God together. Eid Al Adha is a holiday that is celebrated everywhere in the world and it is not well known here in the United State. Most Americans are clueless about holidays of other countries. Celebration of Eid is podcasted in TV about two minutes and that is not enough time to educate many people who may not know what Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Reflection Paper On Adulthood Reading Chapter 1 on Adulthood, and looking at my peer responses and comparing them to mine, made me realize that becoming an adult is more on feeling, and responsibilities then and actual age. What I mean by responsibilities is it seems like in everyone's response for question two dealt with responsibilities and that's how someone knows they became an adult. Reading my peer responses made me realize that many of us think the same way but, others don't which is completely fine because people who think differently makes things interesting. Makes me look at why I think the way I do. Does all these factors make a person an adult chorological, psychological, and social age. Everyone in the class agreed chorological age is the years you have been alive. The government says age 18 makes a person an adult, but should psychological and social age matter in the determination /criteria of an adult. I think that a person's chorological, psychological, and social age can be all different ages. I know I said my chorological age was 23, psychological age in early 20's and social age is late teens. I'm not the only one that thinks their chorological, psychological and social ages are all different. Morgan McReynolds said her chorological age is 20, psychological age is 23–24 and social age 17. Seeing Morgan's made me not feel alone with how I feel about it because compared to our peers we thought each one of our "ages" were different. A lot of our peers thought they were almost right on the same ages for chorological, psychological and social age. But I would say it seemed like a lot of my peers thought their psychological age was higher than the other two age groups. Which I find it extremely interesting, I know all of this is self–examining but I wonder if a professional evaluated each of us would they could up with the same ages as we did for the psychological and social ages. What makes a person an adult? Age? I don't think age makes you an adult, government says that when a person turns the chorological age of 18–years–old they are considered an adult. But, in Chapter 1, it says that most people don't become an adult until their 20's. So, why does the government insist that people are an adult at the age of 18. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. The Magnitude of Ramadan Essay The Five Pillars of Islam are the framework of Islamic life. First off, a Muslim must have faith in Allah and believe that there is only one Allah and Muhammad is His messenger. Next, a Muslim has the duty to pray five times each day, which is considered to be a direct link between him and Allah. Third, a Muslim must distribute alms and help the needy. Fourth, a Muslim is responsible to keep the Fast of Ramadan. Lastly, a Muslim is obligated to make a pilgrimage to Mecca in his lifetime. Most non– Islamic people do not know why these pillars are so important to the Islamic religion. One of the most questioned, is the fourth pillar, since fasting symbolizes such different things in all religions. In Judaism and Christianity fasting is...show more content... It is very significant that a Muslim spends a lot time with his family and friends, throughout this month, and realizes what is truly important in his life. Many more Muslims attend Mosques during Ramadan because they believe that Allah will help them understand the essentials of life. Throughout Ramadan all Muslims are strictly obligated to pray five times each day and, in addition, attend Mosque and have a nightly prayer, called Taraween, which is two to three times as long as the usual daily prayers. Along with praying, Muslims celebrate significant days in the month. "On the evening of the 27th day of the month, Muslims celebrate the Laylat–al–Qadr (the Night of Power)" (Zahid). This night is Jafari 3 celebrated because it is believed by all Muslims that it was the night that Muhammad first received the revelation of the Quran and the night when Allah determines the future of the world for the next year. By celebrating nights like this along with praying at home and in a Mosque, a Muslim becomes much closer to Allah and in return gets to know their own identity much better. Reading out of the Quran and worshipping Allah is one of the most important things to do during the Fast of Ramadan. Along with gaining self discipline, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 11. My Experience To The Library Experience at the Library The library is a wonderful place to go to if you would like a quiet place to work. I like being at the library because it is filled with knowledge, and there are many different books that interest me. I enjoy going to the library because walking there clears my mind. Also, there are many books that are available for the public to read and it is a quiet place to do work. To start, the walk to the library is relaxing and peaceful. I decided to go to the library on September 21st for a college assignment. While walking to the library I was intrigued by the many things that were going on around me. I saw a mailman riding on a bicycle delivering mail which was something that I've never seen before. Also, something that was very surprising to me was that there was a group of children running behind an ice–cream truck which was a single block in front of me. I found this very amusing and I continued to watch until they were out of sight. It made me think about when I was little and what I used to do when I heard the ice cream truck come around my house. After walking for quite a bit of time I began to feel tired and dehydrated. I began to wish I had chased after the ice cream truck and got an ice cream to it, but it was gone already. I normally don't walk to the library so I guess that was the reason I was so easily tired. I decided to buy a drink from the local corner store to regain some of my energy. The news report was continuing to inform listeners of the differing dates for the start of the holy month. I questioned eagerly, "Mom, can I please fast?" I'm nine years old now. "Honey, fasting is a day –long commitment. Also, it is more than not eating or drinking anything." It took a long time for me to satisfy my mom; however, I was allowed to start my first fast. Furthermore, my first Ramadan experience taught me more than not eating or drinking for a religious value; in fact, it disclosed me to a book of principles to live by, making family unity, patience and consistency, and respect and contribution a part of my individuality. It was overwhelming for me to see the whole family together, crowded around the television, possessing the same amount of excitement. "The US will be starting their fast at the start of sunrise", stated the man. I had fallen asleep, listening to the news. Eid vs Christmas Christmas Vs Eid In the building with the blue windows and the diamond shaped roof tops, children dressed in red and green with rosy cheeks, were gaily singing: "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is to ride in a one more hoppin' slay! Hey! ... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!" In the building across the street, with the pink windows and the mosque behind it, families were visiting each other in their newly bought clothes and shining shoes, wishing each other: "Eid Mubarak, Dear Brother, Dear Sister May Allah's blessings be bestowed upon you and your family! True, Jesus' (As) birth is a belief amongst Muslims, but so is the sacrificial symbol of the Adha a belief amongst the Christians and other religions in the world. Why can't all cultures adopt the Islamic tradition of gifting children with new clothes and taking them out to restaurants and amusement parks? The government does not encourage Eid as much as it allows public places to be enveloped in Christmas decorations. In France, the Arab communities hold visitations and share in Islamic customs within their brotherhood, whilst around them Christmas carols are sung and the city is embellished in tinsel and goblins, awaiting the arrival of "Santa Claus", or in their terms "Pere Noel." In Dubai, much like Abu Dhabi, hotels and restaurants have special Christmas luncheons. Shops and Malls give away special offers during the 'Festive Season'. There is yet to be established an Eid theme blanketing the cities where Islam is the religion of base, like that of Christmas. What is even more upsetting is that Christmas is in itself less religious and more commercial than it was 500 years ago. Christmas has a face, a figure one can imagine when thinking of the Holiday: a jolly man, with a red suit and a white beard. He did not always look like this. "Santa Claus" acquired his red suit and the big belly through a Coca Cola advertisement in 1931. His image changed, distorted almost, into what we know now as "Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!"

Van Toller (1994) noted that malodour associated with skin ulceration can lead to serious psychological problems, ranging from general depression to becoming a virtual social outcast. The community nurses had actively encouraged Mrs. Smith to re–establish social interactions with old friends. However, Young (2005) observed that patients can interpret this type of encouragement as a lack of understanding by nurses of the effect that their condition is having on their life. Wilkes et al (2003) conducted a qualitative study on the effect of malodour on nurses and found that adverse feelings such as nausea were common. However, nurses hide these emotions from their patients to protect the patients' feelings. The community nurses decided that they needed to talk to Mrs. Smith about the odour and involve her in selecting a dressing product that was designed to alleviate or reduce the problem. The assessment identified that the wound was infected with beta–haemolytic streptococci and Staphylococcus aureus and a two–week course of systemic antibiotics was prescribed. Wound odour is often a complication of bacterial infection and the presence of infection explained why Mrs. Smith had experienced a worsening of the odour in recent weeks (Hack, 2003). Odour is subjective and is difficult to quantify accurately (de Laat et al, 2005). The wound assessment tool we used incorporates a crude odour tick chart using the categories 'offensive', Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. Eid-Ul-Fitr Eid ul–Fitr (Arabic: Ш№ЩЉШЇ Ш§Щ„ЩЃШ·Ш± 'ДЄdu l–Fiб№r‎), often abbreviated to Eid, is a three–day Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiб№r means "conclusion of the fast"; and so the holiday celebrates the conclusion of the thirty days of dawn–to–sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal. Eid–ul–Fitr Salat (Namaz in Urdu/Persian) is a Wajib (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) or mandoob (preferable) – depending on which juristic opinion is followed – Islamic prayer consisting of two raka'ah (units)[1] which is generally offered in an open field or large...show more content... This is how Eid–Ul–Fitr was born. This three–day long celebration ends the ninth month and begins the tenth month of Shawwal with absolute happiness and contentment for the ability to sacrifice for Allah. The aim of this festival is to promote peace, strengthen the feeling of brotherhood and bring oneself back to the normal course of life after a month–long period of self–denial and religious devotion. [edit] General rituals Common greetings during this holiday are the Arabic greeting 'Eid MubДЃrak ("Blessed Eid") or 'Eid Sa'eed ("Happy Eid"). In addition, many countries have their own greetings based on local language and traditions – in Turkey, for example, a typical saying might be BayramД±nД±z kutlu olsun or "May your Bayram – Eid – be blessed." Muslims are also encouraged on this day to forgive and forget any differences or past animosities that may have occurred with others during the year. Typically, Muslims wake up relatively early in the morning –always before sunrise– offer Salatul Fajr (the pre–sunrise prayer), and in keeping with the Sunnah (traditions and actions of the Prophet Muhammad), clean one's teeth with a Miswaak or toothbrush, take a shower (Ghusul) after Fajr prayers, put on new Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 20. What is Faith? Essay What is faith? Faith is something different to everyone. If you asked a hundred different people, it is possible that you would get many diverse answers. Religious faith and non–religious faith are two very distinct terms. Faith holds an extremely complex meaning when discussing it in the context of religion. Faith is a belief. That holds true to every religious and non–religious person. Every faith involves a decision. It is not about what we claim to believe, but what we actually do believe, that is true faith. Throughout this paper, I am going to discuss Christian faith, how it pertains to daily life and Christianity as a whole. I also intend to delve into George W. Forell's discussion of Christian faith and analyze and...show more content... You can not have religion without faith. George W. Forell states that "faith is universal," (Forell 1). By this Forell is saying that everyone has some sort of belief, they believe in something or somebody. Forell is not limiting this belief to God, or gods for that matter, he simply means that all humans believe in something– money, or education, or the general goodness of mankind. Forell goes on to also describe Christian faith; "Classical Protestantism asserts that God wants fellowship with man and that if we trust completely in Jesus Christ and his work we will have communion with God. This complete and utter trust in Jesus Christ is faith," (Forell 19). I tend to side with George W. Forell and his explanation of Christian faith. Christian faith has an implication of love. It is strictly a personal act. The "agape" that exists between the lord and all of his creations is manifested into each religion's faith. This agape is the respect, connection, and intellectual virtue that exist between men and women and their belief in God. Faith can also be thought of as a perception. It is not a conclusion or a proof; "it is not an explanation of the world, an argument from causality, an apologetic of creation," (Chenu 2). • 21. Eid-Ul-Fitr Celebration Speech Waking up that early in the morning is bad enough... but waking up to take a freezing cold shower? Insanity is the word. I mean, sure, you wait for an entire month (give or take a day) for that very occasion. Expensive clothes are purchased, tantalising dishes are made and stocked away in the fridge and wallets/purses are emptied for the influx of more green stuff. Yeah, that's right. It's none other than Eid–ul–Fitr. Not to insult the religion or anyone, sometimes one thinks that as time goes on even a simple, enjoyable occasion like this can get bogged down with too many... um... attachments. That begs the question: are there too many strings attached in order to make Eid–ul–Fitr a truly joyous celebration? Firstly, there's the unnecessary task of visiting various tailors and seamstresses all for the purpose of having them craft seven to eight pieces of overtly extravagant apparel that one will don only for a day or two. Okay, maybe they will garb themselves in those very vestments once all memory on the part of others has faded, but by that time, they'll have amassed yet another wardrobe of items. Sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Of course, there are also the pre–Eid preparations that go on for three to four nights prior to the occasion. Sweet delectables of innumerable colours and shapes are everywhere in the kitchen and recall descriptions from 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Yet sadly, the bulk of these end up un –devoured and are relegated to becoming Get more content on HelpWriting.net
