Reflecting on the situation that had taken place during my second placement working in the community. This will give me the perfect opportunity to
develop and utilise my commutation skills in order to maintain the relationships with my patient. In this reflection, I am going to use Gibbs (1988)

Van Toller (1994) noted that malodour associated with skin ulceration can lead to serious psychological problems, ranging from general depression to
becoming a virtual social outcast.
The community nurses had actively encouraged Mrs. Smith to re–establish social interactions with old friends. However, Young (2005) observed that
patients can interpret this type of encouragement as a lack of understanding by nurses of the effect that their condition is having on their life. Wilkes et
al (2003) conducted a qualitative study on the effect of malodour on nurses and found that adverse feelings such as nausea were common. However,
nurses hide these emotions from their patients to protect the patients' feelings.
The community nurses decided that they needed to talk to Mrs. Smith about the odour and involve her in selecting a dressing product that was
designed to alleviate or reduce the problem. The assessment identified that the wound was infected with beta–haemolytic streptococci and
Staphylococcus aureus and a two–week course of systemic antibiotics was prescribed.
Wound odour is often a complication of bacterial infection and the presence of infection explained why Mrs. Smith had experienced a worsening of
the odour in recent weeks (Hack, 2003).

know if alpha particles could be deflected at a larger angle, as the current tool developed by Geiger could only measure deflection of up to a few angles.
Geiger was joined by Ernest Marsden to create a new instrument to detect whether alpha particles could be deflected at greater angles. This device
was different from the previous in the way that the gold foil and radium were both inside a metal cylinder, which was fixed to a swivel. The
microscope attached penetrated the wall of the cylinder. The lens of the microscope was covered in a zinc sulphide screen and the microscope could be
moved in a full circle around the foil so Geiger could tally the flashes of light from every possible angle. He observed alpha particles deflecting by as
much as 150В°.

Reading Chapter 1 on Adulthood, and looking at my peer responses and comparing them to mine, made me realize that becoming an adult is more on
feeling, and responsibilities then and actual age. What I mean by responsibilities is it seems like in everyone's response for question two dealt with
responsibilities and that's how someone knows they became an adult. Reading my peer responses made me realize that many of us think the same way
but, others don't which is completely fine because people who think differently makes things interesting. Makes me look at why I think the way I do.
Does all these factors make a person an adult chorological, psychological, and social age. Everyone in the class agreed chorological age is the years
you have been alive. The government says age 18 makes a person an adult, but should psychological and social age matter in the determination
/criteria of an adult. I think that a person's chorological, psychological, and social age can be all different ages. I know I said my chorological age was
23, psychological age in early 20's and social age is late teens.
I'm not the only one that thinks their chorological, psychological and social ages are all different. Morgan McReynolds said her chorological age is
20, psychological age is 23–24 and social age 17. Seeing Morgan's made me not feel alone with how I feel about it because compared to our peers we
thought each one of our "ages" were different. A lot of our peers thought they were almost right on the same ages for chorological, psychological and
social age. But I would say it seemed like a lot of my peers thought their psychological age was higher than the other two age groups. Which I find it
extremely interesting, I know all of this is self–examining but I wonder if a professional evaluated each of us would they could up with the same ages
as we did for the psychological and social ages.

My First Ramadan Experience
My First Ramadan Experience "Greetings! We inform you that the Ramadan moon sighting wait has ended and the first fast for the following
countries will take place in a couple of hours...", exclaimed the newscaster. The news report was continuing to inform listeners of the differing dates
for the start of the holy month. I questioned eagerly, "Mom, can I please fast?" I'm nine years old now. "Honey, fasting is a day

on September 21st for a college assignment. While walking to the library I was intrigued by the many things that were going on around me. I saw a
mailman riding on a bicycle delivering mail which was something that I've never seen before. Also, something that was very surprising to me was that
there was a group of children running behind an ice–cream truck which was a single block in front of me. I found this very amusing and I continued to
watch until they were out of sight. It made me think about when I was little and what I used to do when I heard the ice cream truck come around
my house. After walking for quite a bit of time I began to feel tired and dehydrated. I began to wish I had chased after the ice cream truck and got an
ice cream to it, but it was gone already. I normally don't walk to the library so I guess that was the reason I was so easily tired. I decided to buy a drink

The Five Pillars of Islam are the framework of Islamic life. First off, a Muslim must have faith in Allah and believe that there is only one Allah and

It is very significant that a Muslim spends a lot time with his family and friends, throughout this month, and realizes what is truly important in his life.
Many more Muslims attend Mosques during Ramadan because they believe that Allah will help them understand the essentials of life.
Throughout Ramadan all Muslims are strictly obligated to pray five times each day and, in addition, attend Mosque and have a nightly prayer, called
Taraween, which is two to three times as long as the usual daily prayers. Along with praying, Muslims celebrate significant days in the month. "On the
evening of the 27th day of the month, Muslims celebrate the Laylat–al–Qadr (the Night of Power)" (Zahid). This night is
Jafari 3 celebrated because it is believed by all Muslims that it was the night that Muhammad first received the revelation of the Quran and the night
when Allah determines the future of the world for the next year. By celebrating nights like this along with praying at home and in a Mosque, a Muslim
becomes much closer to Allah and in return gets to know their own identity much better. Reading out of the Quran and worshipping Allah is one of the
