OrthomosaicMaps
Drone imagesare correctedfor image distortionandstitchedtogetherduringpost-processingtocreate
a highly-accurate orthomosaicmap.Each pixel contains2Dgeo-information(X,Y) andcan directly
procure accurate measurements,suchashorizontal distancesandsurfaces.
A densifiedpointcloudcanbe generatedfromdrone images.Eachpointcontainsgeospatial(X,Y,Z) and
colorinformation.Itprovidesaveryaccurate model fordistance (slantandhorizontal),areaandvolume
measurements.
Drone imagescan alsobe usedto create DSM modelsof the area.Each pixel contains2Dinformation(X,
Y) and the altitude (Zvalue) of the highestpointforthisposition.
The 3D texturedmeshisareproductionof the edges,faces,verticesandtexture of the areashotby the
drone.Thismodel ismostuseful forvisual inspectionorforwhenexternal stakeholdersorpublic
involvementisessential foraproject.
Dependingonthe projectrequirements,eitherthe DTMor DSM model,withcustomcontourintervals,
can be usedtocreate a contourlinesmap,givingyoua betterunderstandingof the surface of the area
shotby the drone.
