Graffiti
commissioned on a
shutter, it looks to
have been done with
stencils (apart from
the candle light
which looks
freehand)
To edit this I used a
perspective crop to
straighten the picture
out. I used colour doge
with the brush tool to
make this image glow as
well as adding a vignette
and iris blur.

Space invader in Manchester.
Made from mosaic tile he
assembles the squares of
mosaic on some non stick paper
before going to put them up with
cement he does this because he
needs to leave quickly after
putting the up as they are an
illegal form of street art. Space
invader puts up many pictures;
usually of video game
characters, especially from the
game space invader (which is
why he’s called that)
I edited this on Photoshop
with spot healing to
remove the barbed wire. I
also turned up the
contrast, and used the
paintbrush tool (set to
colour dodge with a low
opacity) add what looks
like streaks of light to the
image.

Another tag from Space
invader in Manchester. He
puts up many similar images
around many places all of the
world as a form of tagging as
the images are easily
recognized as his with them
usually being quite similar
and because there aren’t
many who use mosaic as a
form of street art.
I edited this picture by
adding a vignette and
using colour dodge to
make the image glow
(blue for most of the
picture and red for the
eyes)

A street sign in Manchester
covered in stickers
I edited this on Photoshop by increasing
the saturation and slightly increasing the
contrast, I also made the shadows have a
bluish tint. I use the brush tool with colour
doge and set to red and white to highlight
different places and make street signs
glow more.

Graffiti in Manchester
on Faraday street of a
person spray painting
a tree on the side of a
building. It looks as
though it was made
with some stencils and
some freehand This
looks like it may be a
political statement on
the legality of street art
or the stigma about
graffiti.
I edited this on Photoshop by changing
the saturation for individual colours by
selecting the area around the tree and
making it black and white then
deselecting that and and setting all
colours to zero
saturation apart
from the greens
which I changed
to reds I also
added an iris
blur and a
vignette

Str^eet Art
A tag I found on a wait sign at
a road crossing it looks like a
happy sun with crosses for
eyes. It was probably made
using a stencil. (this is graffiti/
criminal damage and illegal. I
do not consider this to be
street art).
To edit this picture I turned up the
saturation and used a brush set to colour
dodge to make the ‘wait’ glow more I also
turned up the contract and shadows
which I also set to be more blue in colour.
I then added a vignette in photo
corrections.
8. Guide to
Str^eet Art
Street art that looks
commissioned on the side a
building. It looks like it was
made freehand.
To edit this picture I turned up the
saturation and contrast and also added a
lens flare over the building to make it
look sunny.
