Column Designer
Previously, there were only two fields (Current Pay Range and Final Pay Range) in the min-mid-max format. With
this release, minimum, midpoint, and maximum are available as independent fields per Current Pay Range and
Final Pay Range. Adding fields to the Column Designer reduces the Administrator's work load, potential
configuration errors and use of custom fields. Additionally, the system converts values for the fields when you
change the currency view.

Support Five
Custom Validations
With this release, you can define up to five custom validations for fields in Compensation templates and configure
how the system responds when validations fail, with either a warning or an error. The system processes the
worksheet only after the error is corrected. Previously, the maximum number of validations per template was
three.

In 1H 2021 release, many enhancements to filtering functionality on Compensation Executive Reviews are
introduced. The expansion of Executive Review filtering includes long waited capabilities to:
The expansion of Executive Review filtering includes the capabilities to:
• Filter based on standard or custom reportable columns, similar to Excel-based filters.
• Filter on the basis of field type: for example, contains for string fields, between for date fields, greater than for
number fields, and so on.
• Clear all selected attributes of an applied filter.
• Save filters, and view or edit saved filters.
• Filter on compa ratio and range penetration.
• Filter for Compensation planners.
• Filter on whether there are entries for any comments field.
• Filter on second manager hierarchical relationship.
• Filter on employees who have been promoted (if you use either Employee Central Promotion Integration or Job
Selector).
• Filter on the basis of route map status.
• Perform system validation of filters and filter criteria.
• Make multiple selections (or Select All) for applicable filter criteria.
• Search multiple users simultaneously using Find User on the Population filter.
• Include Inactive Users in Team View searches.

updating the appropriate XML files, you can now add standard eligibility fields to Compensation Worksheets from
Compensation Admin tools. This improves efficiency and flexibility when configuring worksheets without
provisioning access.

From Compensation Admin tools, you can now create and apply salary-based validation rules to merit, lump sum,
lump sum2, and extra amounts in Compensation Worksheets, which forces the defined action in the case of fall
below or exceed of either compa-ratio or range penetration as result of salary increase.

With this release, you can configure the Force Comments functionality from the Compensation Admin tools.
A new page, Define Standard Validation Rules has been added to the Design Worksheet tab to support this

The Publish Selected Employees in Employee Central page has a new option, Import Employees. As it was not

The Disable Secure Statement Template Transformation setting in Provisioning is deleted as of May 21, 2021.
Previously, when the setting was enabled and if customers were using their custom XSLT file for bonus
assignment, Compensation, Variable Pay, and Combined personal statements, the file could potentially include
insecure XSL tags that could cause security issues during the statement generation. The setting is deleted now to
provide a safe and secure statement generation.

Center
With 1H 2021 release, you can download the output files of Calibration, Succession, and Compensation and
Variable Pay reports from My Jobs page within View Schedules in Report Center. Previously, these reports were
available for download on the Scheduled Reports page in classic view.

Retention of Reports
for Download on My
Jobs Page
As in alignment with the retention period of all reports, you can now download a Compensation and Variable Pay
reports from My Jobs in Report Center only up to 14 days after job completion, irrespective of the report type.
Beyond 14 days, the download links of the reports are disabled. The previously configured retention periods don't
apply, and you can no longer configure the retention period of any report.

Based Permissions in
Compensation
Now all the production instances are being upgraded to use the enhanced role-based permissions in
Compensation.
With the enhanced granular permissions, each Compensation admin action is now controlled using its own
permission value in the Permission settings page.

You can now configure Spot Awards to display the remaining budget amount - in functional currency - to
approvers who are budget holders. The remaining budget value displays on the award approval page as part of

Awards
Previously, when the awards were submitted, the budget allocation was based only on the nominee's managerial
hierarchy. As of this release, you can allocate the budget for spot awards from the nominator's managerial budget
hierarchy. The functionality is supported only for programs that are associated with a budget. Universal

Certificates
With this release, users can view, save, and print certificates for Reward and Recognition awards they've received,
and managers can view, save, and print certificates for awards given to their team members.
Precondition of this enhancement is to have an Employee Central license, as the system creates award certificates
using Document Generation, a feature of Employee Central.

the Deletion Process
in Spot Awards
As different from the previous version, you can delete spot awards, irrespective of their status, that are associated
with Points and Thank You program types using the award IDs. Additionally, deletion of currency awards no longer
purges the awards.

This release standardizes page navigation within Reward and Recognition, displaying the hierarchy of pages and

  • 3. 2021 Deloitte 3 Compensation: Compensation Worksheets – Features 1H 2021 Quick Review – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Title Description Config Type Impact Current and Final Pay Ranges Configurable Through the Compensation Column Designer Previously, there were only two fields (Current Pay Range and Final Pay Range) in the min-mid-max format. With this release, minimum, midpoint, and maximum are available as independent fields per Current Pay Range and Final Pay Range. Adding fields to the Column Designer reduces the Administrator's work load, potential configuration errors and use of custom fields. Additionally, the system converts values for the fields when you change the currency view. Universal Compensation Worksheets Support Five Custom Validations With this release, you can define up to five custom validations for fields in Compensation templates and configure how the system responds when validations fail, with either a warning or an error. The system processes the worksheet only after the error is corrected. Previously, the maximum number of validations per template was three. Universal Ability to Map Employee Profile Fields to Employee Central Enabled Worksheets As of 1H 2021 release, you can map information from Employee Profiles to Employee-Central-Integrated Compensation Worksheets. Universal Adjustable Widths for Enumerated Fields on Compensation Templates Now, you can specify the width of enumerated fields in Compensation templates as different than the default value of 6. This is a user-experience related improvement which will ease of writing and reading of the relevant fields. Universal M M L M

Customers requested that stock and bonus tabs support custom views, previously only supported for salary and variable pay templates. Universal Ability to Hide Columns With Custom Validations on Compensation Worksheets You can now configure Compensation Worksheets to hide columns containing custom validations. The expansion of Executive Review filtering includes long waited capabilities to: The expansion of Executive Review filtering includes the capabilities to: • Filter based on standard or custom reportable columns, similar to Excel-based filters. • Filter on the basis of field type: for example, contains for string fields, between for date fields, greater than for number fields, and so on. • Clear all selected attributes of an applied filter. • Save filters, and view or edit saved filters. • Filter on compa ratio and range penetration. • Filter for Compensation planners. • Filter on whether there are entries for any comments field. • Filter on second manager hierarchical relationship. • Filter on employees who have been promoted (if you use either Employee Central Promotion Integration or Job Selector). • Filter on the basis of route map status. • Perform system validation of filters and filter criteria. • Make multiple selections (or Select All) for applicable filter criteria. • Search multiple users simultaneously using Find User on the Population filter. • Include Inactive Users in Team View searches.   • 6. 2021 Deloitte 6 Compensation: Compensation Worksheets - Configuration move to UI 1H 2021 Quick Review – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Title Description Config Type Impact Addition of Eligibility Fields to Compensation Worksheets As an improvement of previous release in which you could only add eligibility fields to worksheets by manually updating the appropriate XML files, you can now add standard eligibility fields to Compensation Worksheets from Compensation Admin tools. This improves efficiency and flexibility when configuring worksheets without provisioning access. Universal Salary Validation Rules Added to Compensation Worksheets From Compensation Admin tools, you can now create and apply salary-based validation rules to merit, lump sum, lump sum2, and extra amounts in Compensation Worksheets, which forces the defined action in the case of fall below or exceed of either compa-ratio or range penetration as result of salary increase. Universal Ability to Configure Force Comments on Compensation Worksheets With this release, you can configure the Force Comments functionality from the Compensation Admin tools. A new page, Define Standard Validation Rules has been added to the Design Worksheet tab to support this functionality.   • 7. 2021 Deloitte 7 Compensation: Compensation Worksheets Administration 1H 2021 Quick Review – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Title Description Config Type Impact Application of Eligibility Rules for Individual Compensation Worksheets After Launching You can now reapply eligibility rules to a specific Compensation worksheet that you have already launched. In previous releases, you could only reapply eligibility rules to all worksheets. In this way, form updates after form launch becomes more precise and less risky. Universal Update Lookup Table Formulas and References When Cloning Compensation Templates As of 1H 2021 release, during cloning of Compensation templates, you can update your lookup tables and references for the cloned template at the same time. A new section has been added to the Copy Plan Templates page, enabling you to view and edit the custom formulas and references from lookup tables on the original template. Universal Publish Compensation Employees to Employee Central by Import Using CSV File The Publish Selected Employees in Employee Central page has a new option, Import Employees. As it was not easy to select employees one by one for this purpose, this is definitely an enhancement which will reduce reduces the Administrator's work load. Universal H M M
  • 8. 2021 Deloitte 8 Compensation & Variable Pay 1H 2021 Quick Review – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Title Description Config Type Impact Administrative Permissions for Individual Compensation Templates As different from previous releases in which you could only give access to all or no compensation template, you can now assign administrative permissions at the Compensation template level. A new Role-based Permission (RBP) has been added to the Compensation and Variable Pay section of the Admin Center's Manage Permission Roles module. Universal Deletion of Disable Secure Statement Template Transformation Setting in Compensation The Disable Secure Statement Template Transformation setting in Provisioning is deleted as of May 21, 2021. Previously, when the setting was enabled and if customers were using their custom XSLT file for bonus assignment, Compensation, Variable Pay, and Combined personal statements, the file could potentially include insecure XSL tags that could cause security issues during the statement generation. The setting is deleted now to provide a safe and secure statement generation. Universal M L

  • 10. 2021 Deloitte 10 Compensation: Overall 1H 2021 Quick Review – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Title Description Config Type Impact Calibration, Succession, and Compensation and Variable Pay Reports Now Available for Download in Report Center With 1H 2021 release, you can download the output files of Calibration, Succession, and Compensation and Variable Pay reports from My Jobs page within View Schedules in Report Center. Previously, these reports were available for download on the Scheduled Reports page in classic view. Universal Retention of Reports for Download on My Jobs Page As in alignment with the retention period of all reports, you can now download a Compensation and Variable Pay reports from My Jobs in Report Center only up to 14 days after job completion, irrespective of the report type. Beyond 14 days, the download links of the reports are disabled. The previously configured retention periods don't apply, and you can no longer configure the retention period of any report. Universal Enhanced Role- Based Permissions in Compensation Now all the production instances are being upgraded to use the enhanced role-based permissions in Compensation. With the enhanced granular permissions, each Compensation admin action is now controlled using its own permission value in the Permission settings page. Universal L M M
  • 11. 2021 Deloitte 11 Reward & Recognition - Features 1H 2021 Quick Review – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Title Description Config Type Impact Ability for Approvers Who Are Budget Holders to View Remaining Spot Award Budgets You can now configure Spot Awards to display the remaining budget amount - in functional currency - to approvers who are budget holders. The remaining budget value displays on the award approval page as part of the approval process. Universal Budget From Nominator's Hierarchy for Spot Awards Previously, when the awards were submitted, the budget allocation was based only on the nominee's managerial hierarchy. As of this release, you can allocate the budget for spot awards from the nominator's managerial budget hierarchy. The functionality is supported only for programs that are associated with a budget. Universal Create Award Certificates With this release, users can view, save, and print certificates for Reward and Recognition awards they've received, and managers can view, save, and print certificates for awards given to their team members. Precondition of this enhancement is to have an Employee Central license, as the system creates award certificates using Document Generation, a feature of Employee Central. Universal Enhancements to the Deletion Process in Spot Awards As different from the previous version, you can delete spot awards, irrespective of their status, that are associated with Points and Thank You program types using the award IDs. Additionally, deletion of currency awards no longer purges the awards. Universal Standardized Reward and Recognition Page Navigation This release standardizes page navigation within Reward and Recognition, displaying the hierarchy of pages and subpages of your current location within the system. This enhancement aims to simplify use and improves clarity when you're working within Reward and Recognition. Universal H M H M M

Universal View Available Balance for All Points-Based Award Recipients Using the Admin Center's Import and Export Data tool, administrators can now run a job to display - in a CSV file - the current points balance for each recipient of a points-based spot award. In this way, Administrators requested are able to forecast outstanding points balances to help manage their redemption partner relationships. Universal Configurable Access of Message to Approver Box During Award Nominations With this release, Administrators can now configure when the Message to Approver text box appears when users nominate others for spot awards. You can configure the message box to appear for every nomination, for none, or only when the proposed award amount is above guidelines. Universal Downloaded Spot Award Budget Reports Support More Than 1,000 Records When you download Spot Award reports to a .CSV file, there’s no longer a 1,000 record limit.
