ENVIROMENTAL CONSEQUENCES :
 Altered Ecosystems: Thermal pollution can
disrupt the balance of aquatic ecosystems
by changing the distribution and behavior
of species. Some species may thrive in
warmer waters, while others may suffer or
even disappear. This can lead to changes in
predator-prey relationships and overall
species composition, potentially reducing
biodiversity.
Reduced Oxygen Levels: Warm water can
hold less dissolved oxygen, which is
essential for aquatic organisms, particularly
fish. Reduced oxygen levels, or hypoxia, can
stress or suffocate fish and other organisms.
Prolonged exposure to low oxygen
conditions can lead to fish kills and the
decline of oxygen-dependent species.
