Harry plans to create a new web show called "Redo or Redon't" that compares video game remakes and reboots. The show will use parodies to highlight similarities and differences between games. Harry created a mood board and storyboard showing interview shots, behind-the-scenes footage, and a parody fight scene recreating Mortal Kombat. Potential issues like equipment malfunctions are addressed in a contingency plan. Required resources include cameras, costumes, and post-production software.
3. Mood Board Analysis
How does your mood board inspire your project?
• The Mortal Kombat parodies inspire me to create my own parodies for games and
shows that I love
• The images of different studios inspire me to show some behind the scenes
footage of my project for the interview
• The side by side image inspires me to show how my team and me created the
video and how the video looks
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• The studio images influence how I will show the set for my project
• The interview images influence how I will do my own interview
6. Story Board
Shot three- close up, eye level, steady.
This shot is the same as the first shot
since it is an interview.
Shot one- close up, eye level, steady.
This shot focuses on me explaining
what my new show is, what it is about
and how it came to be, showing clips of
the first episode.
There will be a voice over for the
interviewer asking me questionsabout
the show.
To the right-hand side of the screen,
there will be some text with my name,
my YouTubename and my role in this
episode of my series.
The camera and microphoneare just to
represent where they will be during the
interview sections of the clips.
Shot two- Medium, eye level, steady.
This shot shows a clip of the crew making
the first episode of my new web show, Redo
or Redon't.
There will be a voice over of me as I explain
what the show is and how we created
everything.
This will be shot from either another camera
or a phone so then the cameraman has
more freedom to move the camera around
the set so that the audience can get a better
view of how everything has been created.
7. Shot five- close up, eye level, steady.
This will be the same shot as the other two
shots but instead of me being the one that is
being interviewed,Will Reid will be the one
being interviewedfor some variety and
giving the audiencehis opinionon the
project as a whole and the specifics.
There will be some text to the bottom right
hand side of the screen, similar to the first
shot, but it will have Will's name and his role
in the episode instead;the texts for both
actors will be made in Photoshop and then
added once the recording is created and
reviewed.
Shot six- medium, eye level, steady.
This shot is supposed to show the
audience a clip of the first episode of
Redo or Redon't, where the two main
characters (myself and Will Reid)
prepare for a parodyfight to show the
new editions to the newer Mortal
Kombat games.
The flames in the background will be
green screened to show that the
kombatantsare fighting in the
NetherRealm (Hell). The "FIGHT" will
be created using Photoshopand added
once recording for the scene has
finished.
Shot four-far, eye level, moving.
This will be shot in a similar way to the
second shot, but it will be moving, and
everyone will be just getting ready to
do the episode, showing a few
bloopers as well.
8. InterviewQuestions and Answers
• What is this new show of yours?- It is a comparison series called Redo or Redon't
where I take a video game series that has rebooted or remade during its lifetime
and compare one of the games from before and after the remake, looking at
different elements from both games that are similar or different.
• How do you plan on showing your findings and executing the show?- I plan on
using parodies to show how similar and different the games are between each
other. And before I even start making the videos, I will make surveys on YouTube,
Twitter, anywhere asking my audience what game franchise they would like me to
look at and specifically which games from that franchise to focus on so that they
can get their opinions across and determine how each show will go.
• Do you believe this show could become a hit with your audience?- I believe that
with time and effort, this show could become incredibly popular with all
audiences with its unique premise, the fun parodies and lovable host.
9. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue How it can be avoided
Camera stops working to due battery running out Replace battery if one is availableto us or use a back-up like a phone to
do whatever recording is necessary for the day
Crew members cannot make it for some reason Use an extra as the cameraman and record sections that don't require
as many crew members
Something not working when recording like lighting Do a small recording before-hand to see what the issue is and change
the issue
Green screen does not work the way I intended Do the recording again if possible and try to sort out the issue with the
green screen
Members don't know what they are doing Give each of them their scripts/instructions, giving them plenty of time
to learn their lines and what they need to do
Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will it be avoided
Wires or any obstacles on the floor Make sure everything is out of the way before recording
Electrical devices electricuting me Walk it off and keep working
