 Research work in Pakistan need to be assessed for their practicality and
productivity
 Collecting and analyzing research data for the last decade
 Categorizing the type of research in telecom and networks sectors
 Assessed them for research credibility
 Identified the current research trends in telecom and network
 Help to bridge the gap between industry and academia

 Research journals published locally
 HEC has documented and categorized local journals of Pakistan
 collected last 10 years of research work in Pakistan
 more than 700 papers were downloaded
 around 300 relevant articles were filtered and selected for further processing
 Resulting Record has structured in a query enabled format
 Statistical analysis
 Highlight most active research areas
 Find most contributing academic institutes , authors

 WSN , Security and Cloud computing are hot research areas
 Future trending research area is VANET and cloud computing
 MUET’s authors are working in WSN while UET Lahore researchers
shows interest in security and cloud computing
