Smart Schools is an initiative or innovation on different perspective on upgrading the
education system to increase efficiency. Transforming the educational system will entail
changing the culture and practices of Malaysia’s primary and secondary schools, moving
away from memory-based learning designed for average students to an education that
stimulates thinking, creativity and caring in all students, caters to individual abilities and
learning styles, and is based on more equitable access.

To produce this blueprint, this team produce various amount of resources. They visited
a lot of Smart Schools all around the world and reported their findings. They combined
resources and produced an extensive bibliography of publications on the philosophy,
concept and planning of Smart Schools.

Using information technology or IT in education can produced or preparing
student into a world that moving in parallel with technological advancement.
Integration of knowledges, skills, values and attitudes suitable for the age of

Malaysian smart school established in 1997 after Ministry of Education was involved in a
discussion about Smart School: The Concept and its Implications on the Malaysian education
system. Smart School Conceptual Blueprint has been created in 4 April 1997 as the document
include Smart School Implementation Plant and Smart School Conceptual Request for
Proposals.

EDUWEBTV is a video-based interactive
education portal that can be used in the
Teaching and Learning (T&L) process.

Eduweb TV has four channels namely
News, Special Shows, Curriculum and

Have specific channels that have different focus and goals. There are seven (7)
channels in the EDUWEBTV Portal such as News, Academic, Articles,
Interviews, Educational TV, Interactive and Live Channels.

Frog VLE, also works closely with local
educators and educational organizations to
provide a world-class learning system
relevant to the Asian region.
Under 1BestariNet project, schools equipped with integrated
solutions that enable teaching, learning, collaboration and
administration to be conducted through an Internet-based Virtual
Learning Environment, can accessed in schools or anywhere, with
an Internet connection (Internet Yes 4G).
