- 40. A few people I know—they look at me like—what's the idea? Why have you done that? I'm not sure what they are thinking. They're not used to seeing this, especially an ethnic minority learning the language. It's a reaction— I’m not sure—it's like you speak Welsh—OK!

- 51. For me, English is my 3rd language, and Welsh my 4th. Someone said to me ‘you have a lot of children, it’s not even your second language and you still want to try to learn!’ But my point of view is not like them. I encourage them. Why not do that? They are living all life here.

- Slide 15: Nevertheless, migration from within and without the UK, whether they be English, Scottish, economic migrants from the EU or asylum seekers from the Middle East has been a key factor in the decline of the Welsh language according to the latest census in 2011. A third of Welsh inhabitants are born outside of the Wales.
