2. A Hollywood, Florida resident, Gregor Gregory launched
AAUG Realty, a construction company, and Northernlight, a
surety and property insurance company, in 2002 after working
in financial services since 1990. Community involved, Gregor
Gregory served for nine years on the board of Reciprocal
Ministries International (RMI), an organization that assists other
groups with helping Haitian residents.
RMI assists Haitian residents by building them housing. RMI
does much of this work as a connected church to church
(C3) organization, which means it works with other church
groups and local Haitian officials to build homes and carry
out other activities.
Haiti has been plagued with earthquakes, floods, and
hurricanes. These natural disasters have compounded the
extreme poverty in the nation. RMI’s mission is to work with
3. other organizations to build homes for Haitian residents so that
they can have hope, stability, and security.
The homes are 12-foot by 30-foot permanent block structures
that feature a foundation, front porch, front and back
security doors, bathroom, security windows, and a metal roof.
Each home costs about $16,500 to build, varying a little
depending on the cost of materials. Approximately $6,300 is
added for a solar power installation.
RMI allows donors to cover the cost of building a home, or
church groups can pay for the construction of a home. For

time, please visit www.rmibridge.org.
