THE GOAL:
Many organizations use role play as part of their
traditional training methods. But how effective are peer-
to-peer role plays really? When you know that you’re
next in the hot seat are you really going to give your full
effort when portraying the prospect?
CSz Business Chicago makes the difference. We have
more than a decade of experience integrating
professional improvisers into corporate role play,
allowing your participants to focus on the skills they
need to build, not on pretending for the other students.
THE PLAY:
Our professional improvisers take your character
profiles and scenarios and portray them authentically
based on your industry-specific coaching.
Do your participants need to practice dealing with an
emotional employee? An irate customer? A nervous
prospect with multiple objections? Our talent uses their
professional backgrounds as theater artists to deliver
challenging, believable simulations that require
participants to apply their sales, customer service,
and/or management skills in the moment.
Because of their improv experience, REAL-PLAYERS are
able to respond in real-time to positive and negative
non-verbal participant behaviors and reflect back a
heightened character response. This intense
“battlefield experience” requires participants to manage
not just what they say, but how they say it.
At the conclusion of the role play, our talent can also
provide constructive, behavior-based feedback to
trainees; and can use your own assessment model to
deliver that feedback in your program’s language.
Finally, if your Talent Development team lacks the time
or experience to develop these kinds of role plays, our
instructional designers can support you or even design a
complete standalone experience.
REAL-PLAYERS:
Number of Participants: 1 Real-Player per scenario per
pod of 2-5 participants. (Assumes 1-2 participate in the
scenario, and 2-4 observe.)
Overview: Flexible solutions to support a live
simulation experience for 2 hours or 2 days. Facilitators
to manage talent and lead opening and debriefing
experiences also available.
