- 4. Let us begin this tutorial by registering a DOMAIN NAME
- 6. A DOMAIN NAME is any name or identification registered in the DNS (Domain Name System)

- 10. We shall use HOSTGATOR as our HOST for this tutorial
- 12. Type in the address bar www.hostgator.com
- 14. Click Get Started Now!
- 15. Click Choose A Plan
- 17. Click Sign Up Now
- 18. Fill in the HostGator Order Form
- 19. FILL IN THE FORM YOUR DOMAIN NAME
- 21. Click the dropdown menu to choose your TLD (top level domain)
- 23. Click the Billing Cycle
- 24. Type in your username and security pin
- 26. Type your details here
- 27. Scroll Down
- 28. Uncheck all choices here for now
- 29. Enter a Coupon Code if any
- 31. Check the box to agree to HostGator’s Terms of Service
- 33. Your Payment is Completed
- 34. HostGator is Building Your HostGator Account
- 35. We have to wait for a while as HostGator builds your Account
- 36. Order is now completed
- 37. Then it brings you to your HostGator Portal
- 38. We have just finished registering your DOMAIN NAME and ordering your HOSTING PLAN
- 39. Before we proceed to the installation of your brand new website, you have to log in to your email account
- 40. Open the email from Launchpad to verify your contact info/email add
- 41. Click the link to verify your email address
- 42. Let us now look for your account details from HostGator
- 44. Click this link from your Account Info to get to your cPanel
- 46. Please take note that this cPanel is with HostGator
- 47. The link will bring you here
- 48. Type your username and password from your account info details
- 49. Click Log in
- 50. It will bring you to your Host Gator Control Panel
- 51. Scroll Down
- 52. Continue scrolling down until you get to Software and Services
- 54. It will bring you to the QuickInstall Marketplace
- 55. Just Click
- 56. It gets you to the QuickInstall Interface
- 57. Scroll down until you get to Wordpress Install
- 59. It will again ask you to Install Wordpress For Free
- 61. Fill out this form
- 62. Type in your domain name firstnamelastname.com
- 63. Leave this area blank
- 64. Type in your Admin Email
- 65. Type in your blog title
- 66. Type in your Admin User It is recommended that you use your first name last name firstnamelastname
- 67. Type in First Name and Last Name
- 68. You are now ready to install your WordPress
- 70. Pay attention to your screen as Wordpress Installs
- 71. WordPress is now being installed
- 72. WordPress install is now complete
- 73. Click to view your notifications
- 74. It will then show you the information needed for your log in to WordPress
- 75. You may also check your email for your WordPress Account details
- 76. Open Email
- 77. The email provides you with your log in details
- 78. Ready to log in to your WordPress Website?
- 80. It then brings you to the WordPress Log In Panel
- 81. Type in your Username and Password
- 82. Click Log In
- 83. It brings you to your WordPress Dashboard
- 85. In your Dashboard go to Users
- 86. Go to Your Profile
- 87. Enter your new password Then click Update Profile
- 88. Profile Updated and your new password is now in effect
- 89. Go to Appearance
- 91. Go to Themes
- 92. Click Add New
- 93. Click Activate
- 94. Your website theme is Nirvana
- 95. You can continue to customize your website
- 96. Click Appearance
- 97. Click Customize
- 98. It will bring you here
- 99. You can see that your active theme is Nirvana
- 100. You can change that by clicking here
- 101. You can choose a new theme and the previous theme is deactivated
