Plants are incredibly beneficial to indoor workspaces because they
have air purifying qualities. So it is called air purifying indoor plants.
All plants can act as air cleaners but some are more beneficial than
others beacause it removes toxins like formaldehyde, xylene, tolune
etc. from the air.
4. Why does indoor air need purifying?
There are plenty of toxins floating around outside air thanks to
pesticides and herbicides, vehicle fumes, and other industrial
pollutants. Unfortunately, you’ll find a plethora of toxins in the air
inside your own home as well, which are harmful to humanbeings,
pets etc.
Now -a- days in developing countries people spend 90% of their time
indoors and indoor air has been reported 12 times more polluted than
outdoor in some areas.

Houseplants are grown indoors, either in residences or offices and
could be tropical, sub tropical or other types. They are used for a
range of reasons like -
1. for healing purposes like air purification,
2. earning positive psychological effects and
3. enhancing the decoration of a room or space.

Plants absorb air borne polluntants into their leaves and then
translocate them to their root zone, where microbes break them
down.
Plants use toxins to make glucose and they release breathable
oxygen, which we need to survive.
