3. What does this mean?
• We want you to create a business that will
make money, which has the ultimate aim of
providing a benefit to the community.

• There are many different aspects to your
community, some of these include:

• In your teams you have to come up with the
best business idea that you think will generate
the most money possible to help the
community.
7. The Challenge
• Each team will compete against other teams in
your class / school. The winning team from
each school will come to the final on 27th June
to compete against the teams from other
primary schools.

• Each team will have to produce 4 things that
will make up the business plan:
1. Ideas Sheet
2. Competitors Outline
3. Money Matters Pack
4. 3 Minute ‘Pitch’ Presentation – detailing how
much money you are asking for to start up
your business.
9. The Ideas Sheet =
1 Sheet of A4
• This sheet needs to describe your idea –
– What makes it so great?
– How will it make money?
– Is it a product or service?
– How is it innovative?
– What will the money be used on?
– Why is it such a fabulous idea?
10. The Competitors Outline =
2 Sides of A4 (maximum)
• Who are the competition?
• Who are you aiming your product/service at?
• Will your idea actually beat the competition?
• What will make your product/service stand
out from the competition?
11. Money Matters =
3 sides of A4 (maximum)
• How will your idea make money?
• What is the predicted income?
• How will you raise enough money to start up?
• You must identify realistic figures to support
your presentation.
• Include any financial aspect to your business
that will support your bid.
12. The Presentation =
3 minutes
• You will have to present your idea in a Dragons
Den style ‘pitch’.
• It needs to be innovative, original and
inspiring.
• Include pictures and diagrams to support your
pitch.
• YOU MUST STICK TO THE TIME ALLOWED!
