GOAL
This activity is designed towards enhancing your skills in expressing a
well thought out assertion, defending your stance, and convincing
others to believe your ideology in a respectful manner.
ROLE
You will be one of the delegates of the country to attend an international
conference.
AUDIENCE
The conference will be attended by the delegates of other countries and
the governing bodies of an international peace forum organization.
SITUATION
An international peace forum organization will be conducting a special
conference to gather ideas on how to build truly unified and peaceful
nations in this chaotic world.
PRODUCT/
PERFORMANCE
As the country’s delegate, you are to prepare a persuasive text expressing
what you think is the best way to achieve the conference’s goal. This will
be then delivered orally while aiming to convince your listeners to
support your ideas. Remember that you are representing your country,
thus your presentation is a reflection of your country.
STANDARDS
Your performance will be evaluated by your teacher based on the
organization of ideas, message and delivery of your speech, and your
rapport with the audience.
