I am Gary A. Mitchell, a Jamaican professional, always seeking opportunities within my homeland and region.

OVERVIEW – My last six (6) years have been spent primarily on management projects across various areas.
I have worked in and closely with such departments as Information Technology, Accounting, Customer Service and
Human Resources, respectively, for years. The later years included: Research and Promotional activities as a
Supervisor & Manager in the recruitment, selection, training and development processes for my teams. Also, the
follow-up functions for monitoring and maintenance through evaluation, termination and retention of teams where
required. Strategic Planning, Execution, Monitoring and analysis were standard protocols for each project/campaign.
EXPOSURE – [SKILLS/ INDUSTRIES & ACCUMULATED PERIOD] – 1990 – CURRENT -> Work Knowledge, Exposure, Training and
Experiences gained, were focused in primarily the Tourism, Travel and Retail Trade Industries.
OPERATIONS – This included several departments. My exposure to specifically, Training, techniques involved and the processes
began from one industry into the others mentioned. This was primarily through positions held in IT, Accounting, Sales and
Marketing. Marketing opened the door to in-depth knowledge and greater appreciation for public health and various accounting
practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES -Functions involved Research, Planning, Scheduling, Recruiting, Training, Evaluating, Auditing and
Reporting. This required close collaborations with all departments in tandem with Human Resources or CEOs in
certain cases. Mandates to participate in training staff included areas of Customer Service, Bookkeeping, Cost
Control, Health, Sanitation and Food Handling. These were geared towards addressing related challenges faced in
Hotels, Supermarkets, Restaurants and Public Sponsored Events from wastage to skullduggery.
MISSION -Objectives were aimed at maintaining continued awareness and best practices for standards in Accounting,
Marketing and Customer Services. Focus was awareness for all team members, exposed to the importance of
documentation and reporting functions. The knowhow, on related tasks such as basic data storage, processing and
production of information for related analysis, is always emphasized. This resulted in manageable Finance, Cost
Control via readiness, prevention and Auditing strategies for challenges associated with Hotels, Restaurants and
Public Events. Considerable knowledge was gained from close, frequent, collaborations with the Division heads,
Internal and External Auditing teams. [Always appreciated].
The above mentioned were mostly in fulltime positions [Supervisor and managerial],
while the remaining were through the spearheading of various specialized projects part-time.
